After years of peace, the fragile balance of Endreí’s life is thrown into chaos when a new threat suddenly appears on the horizon.
Endreí never imagined that defeating the Bone Crushers would signal an end to the dangers he and Rissa faced. But once their small homestead had grown into a thriving settlement, he began to believe that the worst was finally behind them.
Confronted by a powerful enemy they have no hope of defeating, Endreí and his friends are left with only one choice: Find some way to escape, or die. Yet Endreí’s troubles aren’t limited to matters as simple as life or death. Long held secrets are also revealed, requiring Endreí to make other decisions—ones that are perhaps even more difficult.
Faced with unexpected challenges from both inside and beyond his village’s walls, Endreí is forced to overcome not only the might of these strange new enemies but others that are all too familiar...

Things took a very weird and unbelievable turn. I did not like this at all.
Rissa (Jen) is whiny little shit, Endrei (Alex) is a lying and cheating POS. What on earth was Baker thinking when he brought the original cast of characters from the Second Skin series to this twisted arc?
M. Damon Baker has the unusual power to bring a game to life with the written word. In Echoes we get lots of battles. None of his characters are one dimensional but are almost real. You can almost feel their rage we they are attacked. It takes a special writer to be able to be able to pull you into a story like this. M. Damon Baker seems to do it with ease.
I enjoyed the different view points of this book.I am happy I kept going and the threw the looking glass kind of of story were beloved characters are exposed a potentially different out come. It was well worth my time and yours if you dare
I have really enjoyed this entire series as a whole. This book was crazy for me and I wish I could say why, but I don’t want to leave any spoilers haha. Love Second Skin and I can’t believe there is only 2 books left!!
