3 booksC.J. Watson's basketball career has allowed him to play for some of the best teams in NBA history. While his professional basketball experience is impressive, his skills go far beyond the basketball court.
Philanthropy has been at the center of Watson's career since the start of his scholarship fund. The fund honors his late grandmother, Mary L. Watson, and helps support students studying education. In his hometown of Las Vegas, Watson also started the Quiet Storm Foundation in order to foster learning opportunities that include social skills development and health and fitness activities to help the youth grow and achieve their goals in his community.
In addition to his non-profits, Watson has developed a children's book series named CJ's Big Dream. With this series, he hopes to inspire young kids to chase their dreams and work hard for what they want.

‘CJ’s Big Project’ by C. J. Watson is a book that revolves around a school going boy named CJ. CJ has scored badly in his science project and hence his teacher has called him to inform him that he needs to resubmit it. If he fails to score good grades in the subject he won’t be allowed to participate/play in the next basketball game. CJ is in the basketball court all tensed about his grades as well as about not getting to play his favorite sports. This is when his coach comes and tells him something which makes him think about his project seriously. Then later on the way to his home in the school bus his conversation with his friend Tim also gives him an idea for his project. What idea does CJ get for his project? Will he score good grades for his project? Will CJ get to play his next big game? To know more read ‘CJ’s Big Project’.
The plot is written in such a manner that our young readers will surely be inspired to study hard. I liked how the teacher approaches the topic of CJ not scoring good grades and also giving him an opportunity to work on it again.
The characters are well developed. I liked CJ’s coach who advices him on not to feel bad and work on his project with full determination. His mother is also supportive to him and tells him to work hard on the project.
The narration is well done and the language is simple and lucid. The illustrations are done beautifully and they will surely help the readers in visualizing the story and characters.
The cover page and the title of the book is apt to the story.
Overall, I must say that this is a book that young readers will surely enjoy a lot and I would recommend it.

Review- CJ's Big Project is a beautifully illustrated story of a young boy CJ who wants to keep playing basketball and one day be a part of NBA. This story reflects the importance of a sport in our life. Failing in science project and the fear of not being able to play basketball pushes him into sadness. The support of his coach and his close friend Tim keeps him going and he looks forward to do things all over again and cross all the hurdles. A good coach is very important to shape the character of a player and that is depicted really well in this book. It’s a must read for young kids to build their persona and build a desire in them to overcome their fears and stand strong in all situations. The relation of sports and science is very interesting and reflects how a child can learn from games and sports apart from the traditional methods of learning from books. A practical example is very significant to learn lessons in life and this is depicted really well in this book. It’s a very engaging read especially for kids.

School days, these normally are the happiest days of anybody's life but for kids its nothing more than punishment. This book narrates the story of a sports champ CJ and his science project, which he has failed very badly.
All my childhood I avoided picking any comics but now I'm falling in love for each and every comic story. They are super fun to read have they been bad or have I failed in noticing then I don't know, but now I'm loving it.! Just like this story of a basketball hero who struggles with science project. Through this story the writer motivates the kids to try again, notice their strength through which everything can be won. The writer also portrays the importance of teachers and parents in the kids life, kids turn to them for strength and motivation. Nothings more helpful than a crazy friend, in this story it's Tim for CJ. Simple language and colourful images, this book is a wonderful gift for sweet school heroes.

When CJ's coach saw him worried in the basketball gym, he gave some tips to CJ. In the school bus, his friend Tim Gabe him the idea to explain gravity with the help of a basketball. Read the story to see yourself will CJ take Tim's advice seriously? Will he be able to impress Mrs Anderson?
I loved the ending of the story. CJ has his lucky socks to help him always, I wish I could also have something like that to have a good luck always 😊. The story is nice and kids will enjoy it.

Nice story about the balance between sports and science. This is a subject that should be explored and written about more often. Most parents will probably need to explain "Physics" to young readers, but that shouldn't prevent them from enjoying this book. The text is large and easy on the eyeballs. The illustrations are simple, but colorful and engaging. Keep an eye on CJ. It appears he'll be back and he's preparing for his "Big Dream". Perfect as a bedtime story or anytime honestly.
