"Why Teams Win: 9 Keys to Success in Business, Sport and Beyond" by Saul Miller is an insightful self-improvement book. Miller uses his past experiences with successful clients to explain key factors and attitudes behind being a part of a successful team. The aim is to guide and provide suggestions to those who seek success on a team level. When examining this book, the word team can have many different meanings from sports teams to personal relationships. So don't think that this book is aimed only at athletes or savvy businessmen, it has valid points that relate to many areas of everyday human life.

Convincing someone to use a certain technique or act a certain way can be a difficult task without evidence to back it up. This is what makes "Why Teams Win" so useful and insightful. As a performance specialist in sports, business, healthcare and arts, Miller has a firm background in personal guidance that makes it nearly impossible to challenge his views on success and what it takes to be successful. Very often he uses examples from past clients who were struggling, but eventually able to find success using one of the 9 keys to success highlighted in his book. These examples make it much easier for the reader to be convinced, "Wow, I need to try that". Not to mention the fact that these examples can give you a good idea of how to go about applying a certain technique into your life. There is no doubt that these stories and examples are what make the book so meaningful to someone who is looking for success on a team level.

One warning I have to anyone who is interested in reading this book is that you may find it extremely dry unless you are committed to applying the keys from the book into your everyday life. If you are just looking for something interesting to read, you may not be getting the full potential out of the book. You really need to be able to try and execute the topics in "Why Teams Win" into your own life in order to stay engaged in this book. Otherwise, it may seem extremely dry and you will not be get the most out of it.

Overall, i think that "Why Teams Win: 9 Keys to Success in Business, Sport and Beyond" can be very beneficial to anyone looking to better themselves in order to benefit the team around them. It definitely is not something to read if you're looking for a good story or fascinating sentence structure, it is simply a self-improvement book. That being said, if you want to be on a successful team in any area of your life, then this is the book for you. The points made are insightful, leaving you surprised yet motivated to make positive change for your team.
