JOURNEYS BENEATH THE EARTH: Autobiography of a cave explorer

Rate this book
The autobiography covers the experiences of one of Britain’s most experienced cave explores from his first beginnings with very basic equipment in the caves of the Peak District UK to leading and taking part in many high profile expeditions to various countries of the world, many in remote locations. The struggles, rescues, adventures, humour and near misses are recounted along with teams of highly experienced and competent cave explores. Twenty three expeditions over a period of twenty five years led the explore from an adventurous hobby to a profession working full time at the Gunung Mulu National Park, Sarawak Malaysia. This work describes exploration in the truest sense progressing into gigantic and at times dangerous caves that no person had ever seen before, mapping, describing and photographing as they explored.
