Three years after his wife's death, he meets the man destined to be his fated mate.
Three years ago, Tarinn's mate sacrificed her life to save their pack. Now, Tarinn raises his daughter as a single father and would risk his life to keep her safe and protect the pack. When a series of grisly murders threatens Great Wolf Valley, his alpha tasks him with finding the killer at any cost. Tarinn presses forward despite being forced to partner with the lethal Department of Paranormal Safety—a department known to make shifters like him... disappear.
Soon after Cutler came out as a child, his parents divorced, but the separation did nothing to abate the continuing animosity between his father and mother. At eighteen, Cutler escaped the domestic conflict by joining the Department of Paranormal Safety, where he discovered a new vocation, safe from familial strife. Now, as their best agent, he will do anything to preserve the career that rescued him from the trauma of his childhood.
As Tarinn and Cutler's ambitions collide, so do their passions. They agree to work side by side to locate the killer but find they are entirely unprepared for the dangers exposed by the truth behind the slaughters. Giving in to their love can lead to their survival, but their fears and ambitions won't allow them to yield so easily, sending them careening down a tragic road that will end in their destruction.
This is the fourth book in the Shifters of the Great Wolf paranormal romance series. This MM romance contains steamy scenes with a guaranteed happily ever after and no cliffhanger.
For maximum reading enjoyment, we recommend you read these books in order.
Book 4 begins the second trilogy in this ongoing series.
wonderful.. loved the characters and their emotions.. loved the storyline and the writing. this author does an amazing job with this world and i have so much fun with the fated mates world.. i loved it
I enjoyed this book. I thought the twists in regards to wolf shifters and magic a neat touch. The characters were interesting and each had an important part to play in the overarching world.
I will admit I did NOT read any previous books set in this world but I wasn’t lost as it mostly focused on Cut and Tarinn. There were some elements that I possibly missed because I hadn’t read this author before.
I liked the writing style and the world. I loved how magic and shifters weave amongst one another but not together as in most cases. The romance aspect was interesting but the focus seemed to be more on saving the pack.
If you like world building, shifters and other paranormal creatures, you should enjoy this one,
Delightfully complex paranormal mystery with angst, suspense and plenty of steam. This book has is so twisty turny in its plot that you will be glued to your kindle. The writing was good and the story-line really flowed well. The supporting characters really made the story so much richer.
Cutler and Tarinn are wonderful and will keep you reading and enjoying. They have a very special steamy connection that will make you glad you read the story.
This is book one of the Damaged Hearts Trilogy and it is best to read in order, however i think you can be read as a stand-alone
I was gifted this book from Gay Romance Reviews and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
I loved Cutler and Tarinn!! Tarinn is a wolf shifter and he scents his mate Cut, who part of the DPS. There were so many twists and turns with this story. The story is full of mystery, paranormal suspense, steamy and angsty! They work together to solve the mystery. I loved all the side characters! Really good story, looking forward to reading more of the Damaged Hearts Trilogy!! I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received from Gay Romance Reviews. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
This is book 4 in the series and it's still giving me suprises, intrigue and a fast tempo to keep the blood up in suspense. It took me a few pages to get into the book where I then had a eureka moment and remembered the last books before I then settled very happily into the story. I'm loving the characters and reoccurring characters interwoven into the story. The world building really makes it all come alive and it's rich in detail. Can't wait for the next. I received this book by the author and this is my honest opinion
CJ Vosse's Wolf's Heart is the fourth book in the Shifters of the Great Wolf paranormal romance series, and first book in the Damaged Hearts trilogy within that Series. This is paranormsl MM romance about shifters, fated mates and solving a dangerous mystery. The story is suspenseful, steamy, and angsty. There is action, drama and heat... and love. Tarinn and Cut are interesting characters and the heat between them was blazing. I am looking forward to reading more.
I liked the book, first in a paranormal series. The world building is unique, with shifters and magical beings mingling with humans. Tarinn and Cutler are mates, Cutler is human and working for the government’s paranormal department. Together they embark in an investigation which is not easy. There are twists at every turn but also a lot of chemistry between the MCs. Suspense, mistery and paranormal romance is my kind of mix.
This was such a fantastic, amazing, grab-you-by-the-feels, fast paced, action packed, intense, interesting, gritty, gripping, enthralling, vivid, complex, completely unexpected, unconventional, smoking hot, and totally awesome story. Filled with mystery, madness, mayhem, magic, murder, and more twists and turns than a roller coaster, it had me hooked from beginning to end. I would recommend getting this marvelous book immediately!
Now I am liking this new book in this world that CJ Vosse has created. It might be book 4 but this is the first book in this new trilogy. I am loving Tarinn and Cut. They are interesting characters and their chemistry is HOT. I really like the twist and turns in this story. I can't wait for more of this trilogy.
Loving you he series so far, i just wish there was more to read. I always go into a depression when i finish a good book, but at least more are coming.
