What an excellent book! The first thing that stood out to me were the illustrations. Very professional, kind of Disney style images. The story itself is well written in rhyme and has a great message. About a fairy that’s born with only one wing and can’t fly. She feels self conscious and gets bullied by another fairy. In her sadness she retreats and sings songs to herself, discovering a talent that ultimately impresses all the fairies and even gets her recognition from the king. She finds her confidence and is accepted by all the fairies. I read this one with my students and they really enjoyed it, afterwards it sparked a discussion about the different things we like to do. Some kids like to draw pictures and others sing and dance, some like to play with their pets and some like swimming... was great to see that they really understood it’s not good to make fun of people about their differences because we are all different and have different interests. Definitely recommend this one for your Children’s Bookshelf
This book absolutely spoke to my soul. On a day like today when I felt like giving up this story touched me so much it's given me the courage to carry on. What an absolutely stunning book. From the message behind it down to the illustrations. I haven't loved a children's book this much since Enid Blyton's Mr Twiddle series. This is a fantastic and inspiring author. Everyone needs a copy of this to add to their collection.
Beautifully illustrated by Eduardo Paj, this is a sweet little book about a fairy who learns to love herself for who she is, despite her disability (she's born with only one wing and so can't fly like the other fairies). I really liked it and enjoyed sharing the story with my nieces. It's a great book for discussing differences and how everyone has a gift and a place in life, and how bullying is wrong. I highly recommend this book to every young reader.

The illustrations are bright, inviting and very expressive! This book opens young minds to the idea that we aren’t all the same but we all have talents to share. The Fairy Who Sings by Cheryl Davies Dedication page and then the story. Colorful rhyming children's story about a flower that blooms that turns into a fairy. Others tell her she is hopeless she can't even fly. She finds out what she is good at and tackles it head on.
My daughter, aged five, is quite taken with this story and we’ve read it a few times at bedtime. It’s a lovely tale about learning to love yourself, and not let the words of others hold you back. Would recommend to any young fairy-loving bookworm.
