Two different people. Two different personalities. Two mouths that just have to always have the last word all the time. Desmond isn’t the type of guy that Shaniqua is used to. Always spoiled by her father and her brother, she was used to getting her way. While Desmond is willing to give her anything that her heart desires, he is dishing out tough love to her as well.Desmond and Shaniqua could be Miami’s hood couple but it’s Desmond’s, baby mama Harlem who just won’t let that happen. We were introduced to the start of Desmond’s and Shaniqua’s relationship in Christmas in Miami, and now that we’ve started, the hardest part is trying to keep the two of them together.

A continuation of the Little Miami Girl series featuring the sister of the LMG male protagonist. To be honest I enjoyed this series more than the previous series. I'm not sure why, I just did.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGG
I can't believe it ended like that. Chase is playing a dirty game that is going to cause her to get hurt even worst. I'm so glad Shaniqua beat the breaks out of Harlem cause she deserved that. Desmond had me upset with how he handle the situation but after how the book ended I'm anxious to see what is going to go down. I'm too ready for part 2 great read and great job Diamond Johnson.

Oh my goodness what a explosive beginning
This is book is about Shaniqua and Desmond merry go around relationship. It starts out a strong as ambitious independent woman Who didn't take no mess off anybody. Even though she went thru many obstacles and disappointed ment and hurt and pain. She still vulnerable behind her ex-girlfriend Chase who lied and cheat on her with her ex-girlfriend Krista. Who sent the damaging video of Chase doing sexual exposide with her. She was avoiding Desmond because she was attract to him and she knew he would break her heart. She has had enough heartache and pain and didn't want anymore disappointment. Desmond didn't have time for spoiled pampered princess Shaniqua who he had feelings for. Harlem and Desmond had a baby name Milan. He tried to make it work with her and their relationship until she let her trifling jealous sister interfere in their relationship. Desmond overheard her telling them she was using Desmond for his money. And lost him to greed and stupidity that wasn't even worthy it. She made it her personal vendetta to ruin his new relationship with Shaniqua because she resentsted the fact that he move on with someone else. Then it get more crazy when she stoop so low to enlist her cousin Vic to assault her and possible physically harm because of jealous and misery. Then they break up and she trys avoiding Desmond because she was developing feelings for him. So much drama it was too much and a crazy baby that refused to let him go. Who will end up with Desmond are maybe have a happy ever after.

A very good read as expected so let me just get to the best part for me and that was at the end when Sheniqua beat Harlem’s ass!!! That shit was well deserved if I must say so myself.
I liked everything about this story except that ending though...
Which had me like:

This story is about the relationship between Shaniqua & Desmond, two people that come out of dysfunctional relationships and attempt to begin a relationship with one another.
They run into hurdle after hurdle, with jealous exes trying to steal each of their affections.
By the end of the story, it seems as if Shaniqua and Desmond’s relationship has no hope of continuing. Will they make it? Read Part 2 to find out…
Overall, this book was okay. I am used to Diamond Johnson’s other books, where she incorporates so many psychological and relationship elements that the story is a page turner from beginning to end, but with this story, although it was okay, it wasn’t what I was used to.

Shaniqua was looking for love and was sad everytime she got around her family and friend's, saw how happy they were with their husband's and wives while she was still single. She thought Chase was the one but was a little skeptical about Chase meeting her family. Chase turned out to be scandalous. I believe Shaniqua is going to have a problem with Chase later on down the line. Desmond was Shaniqua dream man. Although he was dominating with a slick mouth but Desmond came with baby momma baggage. Harlem knows Desmond doesn't want her but she's trying everything in her power to start drama between him and Shaniqua.

Wow this week was full of drama from page 1 every page turning dramatic situation at me your age I can't believe the things that this girl had to go through with every relationship she had it was a problem analyses with Desmond it seems like it's going be babymomma drama for real I can't believe the link all babymomma will go to for someone who's not even with her with a great read I can't wait to get on to pot out freaking standing this author always gets me in my feelings you go girl

On to part 2
I enjoyed this fast paced introduction into this series. The storyline went at such a relaxing pace that you were able to really know the characters. I was 😂😂 because they baby mama drama was through the roof. And it amazes me what people will do for attention. The end had my jaw drop because Desmond crazy and I dunno if he will be able to control that temper with the situation at hand with Shaniqua🤔

This book so far was great. I say it again as I been saying females can be so petty especially over an ex or a bd who no longer wants them. Vick definitely gonna get his and I am waiting to see what happens to him. Chase she seriously needs to give it up Shanique don't want her when she gonna get that through her head. Wondering what's going to happen in part two especially the way book 1 ended hmmmm.

Just when you thought Shaniqua and Dee was going to get it together here comes the bs. I like Dee for Shaniqua he bosses up on her showing her he don't run him. Mannn this was juicy
This one was good from beginning to end. I couldn't put the book down. I can't wait to read the next book. That Chase needs to be dealt with. Shaniqua should have moved like Desmond said. Now she's caught up with more drama. Can't wait to see what happens next. Great with this one.

I tell you when it rains it really pours. I just can't believe Desmond or Chase at this point. All I can say is let the games begin. Now the real chase begins (lol). The battle has now begun. I like this. I don't remember which book I read of Diamond Johnson's before that included Jah and Antonia, but this is an apparent spin off of that book. I liked Shaniqua and Desmond, but I'm not a fan of all the choking and what not that's seen as masculine actions
