Unconventional (Indulgence #1):

Loved it! I love how this one deals with a marriage on the rocks. I went in blind and was this one a steamy one! Now onto Unexpected which are the other married couple from this book.

Dang! This story is definitely unexpected! More suspense/warning with this one. A lot more different than unconventional. What I was thinking was totally wrong with what happened.

This is a great box set - each story is short in length, but filled with angst, drama, suspense and an HEA! I love that these have unique storylines that had me interested from the very beginning to the very end. I received this at no cost in exchange for my honest review.

Unconventional
If you've been waiting for her dark and twisted side to return, you won't be disappointed. Victor is a cameraman at a TV station, Erika is one of the ones in front of his camera, always on point and always in control. Until she's not. Victor manipulates a situation to 'help' Erika find her 'misplaced' car, only once she gets in his truck, things take an unexpected turn. This is a quick read and just when you think you know what's going on, *BAM* she hits you with a twist you never saw coming.

Luke and Marji are by far my favorite in the Indulgence series. Each is a stand alone, but all are part of Dr. Kizer's universe. Unforgettable is a hot, steamy, sexy as sin read. When curiosity finally gets the best of her, Marji takes matters into her own hands and orchestrates an encounter. Anonymity helps calm some of the nerves but she soon realizes that maybe this isn't just a one time deal.
Luke is struggling to find himself again after the loss of his wife. When he returns to a familiar haunt, he isn't sure if it's to reinsert himself or if it's his swan song, until he sees her.
The chemistry between Luke and Marji is explosive and swift. Just when you think they're on their way to their HEA, someone decides to throw them a curve. Will they figure it out before it's too late or will they miss their chance at a life together?

I've read all of the offerings in this delectable box set. Below are my reviews for each.
Fans of Aleatha Romig and those who have never read her books will delight in Unconventional. Ms. Romig brings her A-game to her story of a television news woman struggling with personal and career issues. With surprising twists and turns, the author gives us a beautifully written tale with just the right amount of suspense and sexual sauciness. Unconventional is a delectable read not to be missed!
Unexpected is a quick, steamy, page-turner about a couple with secrets trying to save their marriage. Like all of this author's books, the story flows from page-to-page, keeping the reader engaged and on edge wanting to know what comes next. I LOVE that about Aleatha Romig books! I'll be honest and say Unexpected is not at the top of my list of favorite books from this author, but it is an interesting offering from her nonetheless. There is an unexpected twist toward the end of the book that I kind of saw coming and it just didn't thrill me, regardless of the HEA ending. That being said, I still love her well-written, well-constructed storytelling at its best. If she writes it, I'm reading it!

I loved reading Unconventional. This may be a short story but it packs some heat! AND let’s not forget that twist!!
Unconventional, told from dual POVs, sends a great message to those needing a different approach and outlook in their lives. Fast-paced and sexy…. A great read!

Unforgettable
I absolutely loved reading Unforgettable. It is definitely my favourite story in the series so far. The characters and the setting are a highlight for me. I only wish this novella had been a full-length story.

Undeniable
It’s the first time I’ve ever said this about an Aleatha Romig book, but sadly this story was not for me.
I didn’t feel any connection between Matt and Sophie and I didn’t particularly enjoy their interactions. Although there has been an attraction between them for a number of years, they fell far too quickly and their relationship developed at too fast a pace in my opinion. There wasn’t any chance for me to connect to the characters or for a storyline to develop either. The element that this narrative does have going for it is that it is a quick and steamy read.

This is a fantastic set of books. All of them end in HEAs. Couples visit Dr. Kizer when they're looking for hope to revive their marriage and are out of options. Her ways be be unconventional, but they work. BDSM may not be for everyone, but for these couples it works. These stories are fast paced and full of steam!

Surprisingly sweet and a tad bit devious. These decadent stories leave you wanting more.

These short stories were very intriging. They were all as good as each other. They were all different and yet all lead back to Dr Kizer. I did enjoy this series and i love this author and her story telling.
