Mr. Bunny spent years training to be the smartest serial killer in the world. Now there is no stopping him.
One grim morning, New York is shocked by the gruesome killing of four prominent individuals in the community. A serial killer has lined them up for a terrible fate.
Each victim is well-known, respected, loved and admired in their own right. He has chosen them carefully. Why? Because the world will stand up and take notice.
Detective Gabriel Chase is tasked with catching him. But Chase is also a victim. One of his nearest and dearest was in the firing line. What better incentive?
But suffering a personal loss can cloud your judgement. And this serial killer seems to know exactly which strings to pull to steer the investigation off course.
It looks like the perfect crime. Every angle seems to have been covered. But no one is perfect, are they? Not even Mr. Bunny, who aims to become the most notorious killer in US history.
He must have made at least one mistake. And Detective Chase will discover it, come what may.
However, when he does, who will have the last laugh?
I must admit that I do not normally read horror stories and I found this rather gruesome. There were too many characters involved and I became confused at times - the list of characters at the end of the book should have been at the beginning to my mind. The plot was clever, but not convincing to me.
This book may be a little tough to get into but once you do, you'll not want it to end. It is a serial killer thriller, but quite different to many books out there in the genre. The protagonist is a little deranged, sure. He kills in a pretty mean and elaborate way, yes. He has his own traits. But it is finding his foibles that will be the only way to catch him. His mission is to create notoriety for himself and he does that by killing high profile members of society. He wants his crimes to be perfect, but one detective will have to find the chink in his armour. That detective is New York homicide cop Gabriel Chase. He's a tough cookie and not afraid to face up to authority. The question is, has Mr Bunny met his match?
I really loved the way the author guide us through the story,it had lots of details and the author made sure it wasn't too much to take.Plus the protagonist and antagonist were well balanced, there were no slips,I really liked it.I'm awaiting on the sequel.
