The showdown with the Scorpions is the most intense saga yet
The story continues where the last novel left off in which the war between the Scorpions gang and the Silencer team engage in a dangerous battle ahead. As this war rages on, it not only endangers the Silencer team, but could bring the entire city to its knees if the Scorpions are not stopped. Recker has to use all off his wit, creativity and tactics at his disposal of he has any chance of bringing these ruthless criminals down. While he stopped a good number of their crew at the hospital previously, the odds of surviving the next run in are not in the Silencer team's favor while greatly outnumbered and the police are unable to provide assistance. Therefore, the Silencer team are on their own. How does mob boss Vincent and his crew play into all of this and will he act, knowing he may be the Scorpions' next target to take over the city? This is the thriller that is a must read as it's one of the best. Highly recommended.

The Tri-State Scorpions Are Like Cockroaches! They Just Keep Coming!
The Scorpions just can't take a hint. They keep coming at Vincent, Recker and Haley and they keep getting stomped. They screwed up and shot Mia. That's like poking a hornets nest-you're gonna get stung badly. Mike ends up a bit rougher and sorer but you just can't keep a good man down. There were some really cleverly written scenes and the story read like a movie script. Very enjoyable reading. This entire series has been a good read to date and I anticipate that continuing.

The Silencer and his team are trying to rid their city of a bad group called the Scorpions. This was another interesting and suspenseful book by Mike Ryan.

Another full of action story in the Silencer series with Recker and Haley still trying to rid the city of the Scorpions after the events of the previous book to allow them to concentrate on what they consider their primary purpose of helping those potentially in trouble. Interesting to see Recker now having to consider his future as his relationship with Mia develops and to also see Jones reflecting on the stress of their work. It will be interesting to see how these storylines are taken forward in the next books.
