Some of the Best Detective Novels Ever
Read all 12 back to back. I can not say but one negative. Didn't like Nikki to begin with but what a fabulous protagonist very quickly. All the characters and mystery superbly developed. Unlike some mysteries these just got better and better. Dang ! Hated for this to end. Please another on Joy Ellis. 😁❤💯👍👏

Book 1
Nikki, one feisty, driven detective, in a one woman crusade against drug dealers. What has made her this hard, a regular stack of complaints on the desk of her boss. She works alone, till told she has someone for a month, Joseph, wanting to immediately dislike him. How this man changed Nikki with his approach to people was interesting. The plot of the war of masks, and the letting a few know about Hannah. A powerful story of the chaos some young people can bring into the Fens, the tenderness of showing one cares, was very well done.

Joseph had only been with Nikki and her team only a short time. He fitted in with this unique select team, with DI Nikki at the helm. Recuperating from a gunshot wound, he had been asked to be permanently assigned to the Fens. A figure from the past, only he sees, some brutal killings, has caught him off guard. Once again he is asked to step back, maybe he came back to work to soon. Staying at the Marsh Cottage and working non pay on the case. A chance meeting of a woman in the bar, he couldn’t stop thinking of her. The neighbor of Nikki was killed in a bizarre way. The plot has many twists. You feel for Jospeh would he get another chance,and some closer

The very best British Crime-Fighting Team…almost entirely a Family Connection!
I have been a fan of British Detective Stories for decades…and this Series by Joy Ellis is absolutely the very best that any author or their respective protagonists could possibly put together. Joseph and Nikki faced impossible odds knowing brand new unknowns held that crime’s urgency of identification and connections to solve. Joy Ellis has the ability to wend her readers through the complex , crime staging as a period piece as it uncovers the local vernacular and perdonalities of witnesses and perps. Thank you, Joy, for the most intriguing mysteries I have ever tried to solve along with the whole team!

Best yet
With two mysteries running non-stop action and twists and red herrings abound that even Chief Detective Inspector Nikki Galena and DI Joseph are even confused as to what and who are involved and even if the two very different series of assaults and older murders are related and if so how. We don't learn the whole truth until the very last page of thrills and surprises.

Murder murder
Well throughly enjoyed reading this box set .I enjoyed all of the books while each one had a different story or plot.The more you read the more you get to know the characters.I really liked how you got to know the team and how well they worked together the author done an excellent job.You will have to read them to appreciate them .I will not spoil it by telling you any of the stories.

Love, murder and mayhem
Exactly the right balance of good and evil with excellent characterization to keep you enthralled beginning to end. Nikki and Joseph, along with the entire constabulary, paint a beautiful picture of the difficulties and satisfaction of bringing justice to an increasingly complex world where black and white seldom exist.

Complete - Nikki & Joseph CI Extraordinaire
I have found my reading heaven! This box set led me from page 1 to page several thousand and some. I have read Nikki and Joseph as co-workers, friends and now much more. If they were real characters (which the writer make one feel) who really make the work a REAL story. Love this! Jackfire.

Fabulous Reading!
Just finished the eleven book series! They were fast paced, well
Researched, puzzling crimes! My attention was held and I did not always figure out who the Villain was. Well done Joy Ellis...you deserve 5 Stars!

Joseph and Nikki
I choose this because the story kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the characters especially Joseph and Nikki.
The drama in the stories and mystery was fantastic. I hope that there are more DINIKKI Galena Mystery coming.

Great series.
Read all eleven books without stopping. Some of the 'English' slang was quite different from our American slang, but enjoyable. Look forward to reading more by this author.

Lots of bodies.
Very entertaining, often dark. Seemed too many repetitive descriptions. Disappointed in the character development of Joseph. He started very strong and gets too sentimental and mushy. The series is well worth reading.

a good long read, all 11 books.
A well crafted story line that lasts throughout all eleven plots and sub-plots. Very believable characters throughout as well as believable stories. Looking forward to more of Joy Ellis’s books.

Nikki Galena a must read
Excellent series, I hope there are more coming out with the wonderful characters of the Greenborough PD. Nikki and Joseph are excellent characters, Joy Ellis is a wonderful writer who keeps you guessing the entire read.

Well paced stories that grab you and keep you reading
Good character development and the interaction between them is spot on . The stories are cleverly done and the endings unexpected.

Can’t get enough of Nikki Galena
Love the 12 books but hoping for more. Gripping, many twists and good characters. I was always pulling for the heroes and couldn’t stop reading.

Great Books!!
I had read all of these books before as they were released. I bought the box set for $.99 last year. I reread them last week. I enjoyed them just as much as I did the first time. I love the characters and the settings. I highly recommend this series and the author’s other series.
