She was the woman who hid in the shadows, her kitchen her home and sanctuary. Aware of the pain and betrayal the world held, she was happy in her own bubble and most certainly didn’t want a man, but she caught the attention of a Rage brother. Always loyal she’d never known it back, she was about to receive it and everything that came with it.
Every kid called him Uncle, every man in Rage called him Brother, enemies feared him and his kid called him Daddy. He’d been alone too long when sweetness crossed his path. He let her hide, but he watched her, oh boy, he watched her. He tasted her pain, wanted to soothe her hurts, but he had to get past the barriers she erected and maintained so well.
Had he earned sweetness in his bed again? Before he could claim his woman, the world would burn. And he was the one who would set fire to it.
I was born in 1974 in Dagenham, Essex, England! I moved out of Essex in 2002 and moved to South Yorkshire and then settled in Derbyshire in 2005.
I've got four sons, one daughter and seven cats! I'm still working out who is more trouble, the children or cats! My children and I love cooking together, movie nights and music.
I've written stories ever since I was thirteen but I never had the courage to publish one before. But we all know the famous song... This is me, from the Greatest Showman. It gave me courage to Indie publish and be myself! Never under estimate the power of a good song!
My favourite holiday is Halloween and I'm known as the crazy lady in my street when Halloween hits! My love of Halloween even carries over to Christmas when, alongside my big "normal" tree I also have a Jack Skeleton tree!
My favourite movies vary, Star Wars, LOTR, Pirate Movie, Amazing Mr Blunden, Phantom of the Opera, Memphis Belle., finally Olympus/London has Fallen. Music depends on my mood, country, pop, classical, even bagpipes!
Rage MC is the first series I've Indie published and lots more Rage MC books will follow. I have several other series' I'm working on as well. So you will be getting a lot more Elizabeth N Harris Books! If you have any questions please check out my website and use the contact page to contact me in a variety of ways!
This book was so sweet I loved how he just knew what he wanted and went after her. I wish all men were a little like these men and sweep me off my feet because I wouldn't say no to that. Eventho this is a short book it still had the pasion which was in the other books. I felt sorry for Penny and I wanted to hit her ex-husband. It was just an all round good book
I loved writing this book, Texas has been in the background and while he has little moments such as in the Hunters Rage when he realises he sat in information, Texas hadn't yet come into his own. In Rage's Heat we see exactly why Texas is a part of Rage, and just what he is ready to do to protect his own. we also see the "Dad" side of him, Texas as much as he's a brother of Rage he's also a family man. Who knew Texas had a such a dark side, I didn't until he wrote his own character! (Yes, as usual, my characters went in a direction I didn't foresee! lol)
This one was fun to read, both people smitten with each other, yet too shy to do anything about it. Loved that there was no drama between the couple, only outside drama that moved things along at lightening speed. I also loved how Texas knew that Carrie was like the kids, a packaged deal!
I loved this book, Texas doesn't come into his own until this book, but hell the man has a dark side! Texas is a pure Rage man and like Drake and everyone else, puts his money where his mouth is. I was a bit surprised at how dark Texas would go, he seemed the level headed one, I laughed when Axel commented on it, it wasn't just me surprised.
Penny is sweet and I love the children and her sister. It's a nice touch on sibling bonding and one that Elizabeth handled sweetly. Penny is the epitome of every cheated on woman, looking to put her family first and make their lives good. I could really feel for Penny.
Her ex is a jerk, he got what he deserved in my opinion.
Well now, we get to see a different side of Texas, and one we never expected. Texas has always struck me as one of the tamer brothers, more controlled and in the background. No way, Texas proves why he's a Rage brother.
Penny we know from The Rage of Reading, and her character is nicely grown in the book. I'd never have guessed Texas would end up with Penny but what a ride. Texas proves himself a real hero and Rage avenger. Loved the back characters, Carrie, and the children. And Rosie, Texas' daughter is as sweet as they come. The scene where she yelled at Uncle Drake and his reaction was funny.
This book packs a whole lot into a short amount of pages. Texas is adorable in a gruff, OTT Alpha way. Penny‘s past broke my heart what a powerfully strong woman. Loved the no mess no fuss way Texas ensures his family is safe, priceless.
Got to the end of book 5 in the series before i figured out that there were books between 3 and 4 and 4 and 5, so of choose i had to go back and read those.
Love, love love this sweet story. An older couple getting their second chance. Priceless!
These books have great storylines, which thankfully differ from the hundreds of similar plot lines in so many books in the mc romance genre, and the character development is wonderfully consistent. However as each book in this series was published, quality of writing was sacrificed to meet publication deadlines that are too closely set, and this makes for disappointment when glaringly obvious mistakes jump out from the pages. Please do more proof reading rather than spell checking. Spell checker won’t pick up incorrect words (too/to, ‘as’ instead of ‘in’, ‘blind’ which should in some cases be ‘blonde’ etc) or missing words (see Drake’s bio at the end of this book, for example). It is also annoying to read sentences where it’s obvious the author has changed her mind about what she wanted to say but didn’t remove the now redundant initial phrasing. Because of this, I’ve rated the book four stars instead of the five it should have received, which I find a bloody infuriating thing to do!
Who knew that Texas and Penny had been letting a slow burn simmer for each other? Didn't expected it but I am here for it. You don't really get to know much about them in the previous books but they were so perfect for each other. Once Texas let it be known how he felt nothing was going to stop him from protecting her and her family. His love for her kids and sister was heart melting. So far the best book in this series for me.
Rage’s Heat follows Penny and Texas as they give into the attraction they have in each other. I enjoyed this book, it was a great short story and had me hooked from the beginning. This series is fast becoming one of my new favourites and I find that with each book I read I am looking forward to the next book and hoping they last forever and never end at the same time. A great read that I would recommend.
This is the fourth book in this phenomenal series and this is another wonderful addition. This is a well written, quick paced story which had family, friendships, emotions, challenges, heartbreak, loyalty, secrets, intrigue, danger, unpredictable chemistry, and love which all leads to an entertaining, and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I was happy that Texas got his hea. I know it was only a short story but I was disappointed that so much got crammed into so few pages. I'm one for details and flow. This would have made a good long length book as there were so many personalities involved. On to the next one although the epilogue gave away what's going to happen eventually in the next book...that kinda sucked!!!!
I really enjoy this series and truly wish Phoenix trusts were real. My son is fourth generation war vet. I would work my bass off to help vets or any child. Thank you. My realization is that Ace is only fourteen years younger than Apache. Is that a story of it's own??
I like how protective the men of Rage are when they claim their women and kids if any are part of the deal. Penny is the cook in the cafe which is part of the Reading Nook. She has two great kids and a sister who live in the same house. But when her ex comes back to cause trouble, Texas will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. HEA.
It was 2 short and it didn't tell much about who Texas was like his past or anything besides he had a daughter named Rosie in college that's all. I expected more. It had the bare info about Penny and what happen with her and her family. I was really disappointed in his book. Yea there was a little drama but not like it usually is.
Another short story from Rage and what an explosive book. I don't think anyone could have seen Texas's temper or how dark this man could get. Texas has been a character in the MC since the beginning but played more of a supporting role. it was great to see more of this brother.
There's more to Penny than we've seen in previous books. There are edits needed as other books like Greg and Grey interchanges. The storyline and the characters are awesome.
This novella was the story of Texas and Penny. Penny didn’t trust men and Texas watched her for a year before he made his move. Penny’s ex-husband added to the story but love won in the end.
Texas and Penny's story was beautifully written. There is betrayal, hate and deceit. There is love, laughter, and humor. Most importantly family by blood and by choice. I thoroughly enjoy reading Elizabeth's books.
I don't understand this series; I read Hunter & it was so OTT violent, but this one was like a YA - is it a YA because this was milder than anything I've ever read involving an MC and absolutely no sex. This author's not for me sorry.
