I've reviewed one other book by T.C. Bartlett and what I saw right away that his drawing style is easy to recognize. I think that's definitely a pro as an author, that people who liked your books can easily recognize your "writing voice" in other books as well.

I loved how the pictures are sometimes divided in two pages and sometimes take up two whole pages. You have to count, swap the book and read. I think that this makes the book very interactive

This is a delightful counting book with a twist.

Zero has friends he can count on.

Zero slowly gets closer and closer to the apple with no name.

Once they finally reach it, a Bee named Charlie,

(who was cross with the Scottish Bear named Nine)

for taking honey without permission, arrives.

The bear gets stung on the bee-hind and calamity follows.

The illustrations are as joyous as the story.

I’m sure adults reading this book to their children will laugh at the antics of Zero and his friends.

A dog named zero is a children’s book written about a dog that has lived most of his life in Hawaii and an apple that is juicy and has no name. Dog wants to eat the apple, but the apple is too high up in the tree. His friends come to help and are named by numbers, standing on top of each other to create the right height.

The book has beautiful illustrations filled with colors inducing just a purely joyful experience. Everything about the book was designed in such a way to grab the child’s attention and have them flick through the pages. The message behind the story was superbly crafted. We can only achieve greatness when we all work as a team, and therefore, we all benefit from it as well.
Good Children’s books are hard to find these days. Times have changed, and the industry has mostly geared towards a more marketable and business-like approach to selling them. However, with this book, the author has managed to catch the essence of the book.
I recommend this tale to anyone who is looking for a good children’s book.
