His smile widens. “Emily.” Did I notice tears prick his eyes before he blinked? “You’re here.”
“I’m here,” I sing in Genevieve’s gravely alto tone.
He pulls over and turns to look at me.
When he doesn’t respond I ask, “How did you know?”
His sly smile makes its appearance. “You did not flash your pout face and complain about your designer hat or designer shoes getting dirty.”
“Ah!” I try to push her back further. She resists at first, but recognizing how Andrew acts when I am present, she allows it. “Genevieve is fun, isn’t she?”
He shrugs, then jumps down from the car and holds out a hand to help me down.
Wrapping my arm into the crook of his arm, he squeezes once. “She’s not all bad. She is my way to see you.” He kisses the top of my head, and we walk down the lane. “I’ve missed you.”
Joanna Reeder is a USA Today Bestselling author who takes her readers time traveling to the past and through the portals to Faerie (and ALWAYS have a dash of romance!).
She lives with her husband, three littles, a dog, and a cat. When she isn’t writing or reading, Joanna enjoys bike rides with her family, vacationing at the beach, and cuddling on the couch with a good movie.
She’s a believer in the paranormal (seriously, she has stories!) and her motto is, "A Dr. Pepper a day keeps insanity away!"
Book 3... sigh. It was sooo good, yet I hated that it was over. I may have to go back and reread this series at some point, because it was seriously that good (and I NEVER go back to reread things unless I have to).
Emily is back in real life, with her dreams. A lawsuit hangs over her head, her best friend is getting frustrated with Emily's obsession with her dreams, and Emily's love life--both in and out of the dreams--is on the rocks. Can Andrew really change his whole life, his fate, to be with her? Will she be ready? And what will she do about dreamy Duncan who has been with her through all the worst parts of her current, reality-altering, dream-walks and life changes?
I figured out a little of the ending before it came, but there were so many surprises it hardly counts. The way everything threads together in the end had me thinking about the story for days. It's so incredible, and the story felt truly fresh and original.
Seriously, READ THIS! If you read nothing else this year, this series is outstanding. And I have it on good authority that the author has created a book bundle, so you can totally binge read to your heart's content.
My heart is definitely happy as I finish the third book in the trilogy. This was such a magnificent wrap up to Emily's time traveler stories. Emily continued to deal with the fallout from switches to the timeline. Luckily for her, the switches were all for the best. Dr. Shew still acts as a looming threat while Emily tries to fix things with her current friends and protect those she walks with. Lucy is not left in a good place with all of the visits from Emily, and Emily tries to fix what she did wrong. Emily's feelings for Andrew and Duncan are all over the place and for a while Andrew seems to not be the boy of her dreams so to speak.
These were fantastic books and I can't wait to read more about the time travelers in the future.
This book had a new twist I hadn't seen before. I wasn't sure how they were going to resolve it all in the end. I really felt the personalities of the characters it was pulled right into their lives. I really liked it!
Her dreams are wonderful and she is happy. Her journeys into the past makes her feel so much better. See how this will end by reading a wonderful story of love I received an advanced copy and I enjoyed it so much that I want to review
Amazing conclusion to the “In Her Dreams” trilogy! Like the other two books, this one was difficult to put down! I seriously read until 3am this morning. It was a very satisfying conclusion. Some events made me cry and a lot kept me on my toes, but I thoroughly enjoyed how this series ended and I look forward to the sequel series coming out this year!
Holy kittens, as much as I theorised how this would end. Honestly it still left me flawed, all the plot twists were insane but in the best way. I absolutely squealed in excitement at that ending, although it came with a steep price. It's a refreshing change when my favourite character doesn't die, which usually happens in other stories. Lucy is such a wonderful character too, I really felt bad for some of the things she was put through. This series has a varied range of emotional experiences, from some of the best moments in the characters lives, to the most devastating ones. Every character is either hiding something, or is dealing with some kind of problem. It's a story that pulls you in, and keeps you engaged. The whole concept of dream walking is fascinating, and all the possible outcomes is exciting. To say I enjoyed this series is an understatement, I was extremely blown away by it. Usually I read dark fantasy, but I wanted to give this series a try. I'm seriously glad I picked this up and listened to it, of course I'm going to be over thinking all the ways this story could have gone forever now. But that's what I found I loved the most, it's something that will stay with me. I highly recommend this series, it's an absolutely fantastic read and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
I received a free copy of this book from the author, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review for this.
Great ending to the series. The characters really grew and developed as the story went along and there was a nice twist in this book just to keep things interesting until the end.
