Brilliant book to introduce to KS1 children. Just the right length to keep them interested - and lots of teaching ideas to be taken from it. The story is set in Ancient Greece, so looking at what the characters would be wearing and role play would be a great idea. Also discussing what the Golden Fleece might do, and the powers is beholds. Letters home from the boy, to the king, and the girl Medea to her family. Diary entries about how Jason was feeling, being a powerless character and embarking in such a tremendous journey.
