Snared (The Child Collector Series Book 5) by WL Knightly

Leah has become mentally unstable. She manages another three murders and Gemma might be next. Gemma is forced into the foul smelling basement with rodents. Gemma locates a purse and finds a phone but it needs charging. She finds the charger and manages to call Tate. Tate asks her to give him the address - she does not know. She describes the white wood building in the country with fencing and a big back yard with flowers. Mack and Tate have been going through realtor listings since Mack lived with Leah and know what she might want in a house. Mack tries to call Shae but she has her phone off and so does Cam. Astrid, Cam’s ex-fiance shows up at his office to say one of the realtors has not shown up for a few days- it is not like her. She is going through a bitter divorce and has a son. Shae notices the missed calls from Mack- Shae calls Mack and says Gemma has called and they are near the place to get Gemma. Shae tells them to stay away until Cam and her get there. Tate does not want to wait. He breaks the front window and gets inside. They locate the basement door and Tate uses tools to take the door off with Gemma pushing on the opposite side of the door. Leah meets the three of them on the driveway. Leah pulls her gun out and Tate yells RUN. Mack and Gemma run then scatter. Shots ring out and silence. This book 5 of the Child Collector series is a real thrill ride of a mystery. Great characters with so many twists and turns. A fantastic read by WL Knightly.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "SNARED" The final book in the Child Collector Series
is a rollercoaster ride full of intense emotion, angst, secrets, lies, betrayal, danger, humor, passion, it has all the feels you'll definitely need a box of tissues for this one.
Detective Cameron Murphy and Shae Sawyer are closing in on Leah she getting desperate, more crazy than ever, making mistakes, locking poor Gemma in the basement with dead body punishing her.
Mack is looking into Real Estate sales trying to find anything on Leah with the help of Tate when they get a cry for help from Gemma will they be able to find her in time to save her or will Leah finally finish her off and disappear for good.
I definitely recommend to get this amazing well written series by WL Knightly The characters are extremely well written.
I loved Mack, Tate, and Gemma bless her poor little heart what she went through I cried so much in the ending it was such a terrific jerker the shocking ending will pull at heart strings fantastic ending to an awesome series.

This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series!
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story.
Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next!!!
Recommend reading.

It wouldn't be a W.L. Knightly novel without unexpected twists and turns.

Leah spirals out of control as her grip on reality is lost. She begins scheming to regain some stability, but it seems that she has a high hill to climb. Mack & Tate as a team show what happens when sheer determination marries a small dose of good luck, while Gemma proves she's stronger - and smarter - than everyone thought.

The ride was incredible, and I was glad that Shae & Cam managed to have an ending that many of us expected, even if it came with a little twist. By the end of it, each character would have been cemented in your mind, as the authors give them each a voice, letting you know the good and the bad. Also, the twists and turns make for great reading.

I really enjoyed the series and recommend it to thriller and mystery lovers.

I absolutely loved this series. I was eagerly waiting for each book.
This is the final book in the series. It ends on a high. Most of the loose ends were tied up in a bow.
Leah is starting to lose her mind and her crazy thinking makes her take a drastic step. Will she ever her caught? Will Gemma be saved?
All these questions get answered in this book.
This book felt slightly anti climatic at the end.i wohld have liked it better if the truth of who Gemma is would have been different than it showed.
I felt a bit let down at the way Leah was taken down and would have been better had the capture was different.
This book centred more on Gemma than any other characters which was good. I enjoyed the way Gemma coped with everything and how she dealt with certain truths.
It will be interesting to see what the author writes about next.
Thank you for a fabulous series and characters.

I just finished reading Snared by WL Knightly. I think this is the final book of the series and it was great. Detective and ex-cop, Shae, and detective Cam continue the hunt for killer/child snatcher Leah. Through each book, they kept closer and closer to her. Leah has been elusive so far after many close calls. Shae pushes hard to catch her as she has a personal stake in it. Will she be able to save Gemma? They uncovered new information along the way. It all comes to a head in this book and then ties all the side stories together. It was intense as it built and I couldn’t put it down.

I received a free book for an honest review.

The authors did a great job with whole series, and its characters and storyline. I really cared about them and became more and more invested with each page. I truly enjoyed this whole series, it was intense and thrilling and I gladly recommend it. Can’t wait to see what’s next from this amazing duo!

This was a perfect last book in the Child Collector Series. It was horrifying to read what Gemma had to endure when Leah dished out punishment to her. All the loose ends where tied up which gave me satisfaction at reading this thriller.
I wanted to deduct one star because of a couple explicit intimate details with Cam and Shae. It is really not what I care to read. Well the book was so good I went for 5 stars anyway.
I was given a copy of this book and am now providing my honest review.

A heart pounding end

Shae, a private investigator set on revenge, and Cam, the detective that loves her, have revealed all their secrets and are closer to getting their lady. As the story progresses things begin to unravel for some, others find a means to survive, and the final showdown allows only one person to get what they want. W.L. Knightly’s Snared is a heart pounding end to The Child Collector series. I look forward to the next adventure Knightly will take me on.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

A race to catch a killer. This book had lots of action and that edge of your seat thrill. This book has everything needed in a grand finale, from lives hanging in the balance to unsuspecting heroes. I enjoyed this rollercoaster ride all the way to the end. Truly entertaining series, that checked all of the boxes and kept me engaged to the end. Well done.

Great conclusion to a great series. All the numerous story lines are very nicely tied up. Everyone gets their just desserts! The characters are so well written, from exquisitely nasty to sweetly innocent. And the story never feels dragged out even though it goes on for five books. Really good and I highly recommend it!

Liked this series

I really liked this series. Enjoyed cam and schae and mack.
I was a bit disappointed in the big showdown with Leah. I kinda expected a bit more there.
And the decision they made about Gemma while heartwarming wasn't very ethical. Considering as Schae went through suprised she did that.
But all in all a decent series.

The conclusion of the series.
Leah finally becomes unhinged taking her crazy out on Gemma.
Gemma finds her strength when she needs it most.
Shae finally comes clean to Cam, no more secrets.
The ending had a twist or two. I liked to think Shae had twins.

Leah is finally dead and can no longer hurt anymore young girls or children. Shae and Cam will finally find their happy ending as well as Gemma, Mack and Charlie. This has been one hell of a series and I’m sorry to see it come to an end. The writing was done well and the characters were very likable.

A very good series

Shae was a victim of the child collector at the age of 15. Her baby was stolen and she set out to get revenge. The woman, Leah, kept killing the mother’s and keeping the children. You get to follow Shae as she runs into one problem after another to catch Leah. Take time to read all 5 books in the series.

Snared wrapped up the series so well! I loved it. Leah became seriously unhinged as the books went on. But fortunately she was stopped from doing too much more damage and Gemma got the happy home she deserved.

Leah puts Gemma in the basement and locks her in to punish her for talking to her former neighbor. Rats are roaming in this basement and Gemma discovers a horrible site. Cam and Shae are closing in on Leah. A very exciting conclusion to this series. A page turning thriller that is hard to put down.

I think this may have been the worst in the series. They rushed to the ending, messed up character names all over and the worst couple ever ended up together. Also, the focus of this book was so on the “romance” it was practically a different genre from the rest of the series.
