Very good primer on Hold Em. Pot odds, implied odds, combinations, position, etc. I would say the title of “coach,” is a little off, as there aren’t much in the way of game plan (charts, multiple hand examples) but the very first section consisting of a reality check of what goes into being a professional poker player as well as a quiz to see where you stand were wildly helpful.

I have seen many (often complicated and verbose) instructional videos by Alec and was invited to take an expensive course from his team. I bought the book to see if I understood what he was talking about and what his style of teaching was. I have to admit that the book was not that great for me and I didn't understand all that he was discussing. I will have to go over it again and work at understanding. It is not for beginners.

Addendum: I saw a video where another poker player accused Torelli of hiding his large chips. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFXc9.... This is call angle shooting and borders on cheating. It certainly is deceitful. The reason that you are expected to keep you higher denominations of chips in front is that others can see what you have and decide if they want to go all-in against you or even mess with you. He clearly hid his big chips and then had a whole video where he denied it. I will still try to understand his book but will not take a course from him.
