'I always knew you were a game changer'

Tess and A.J. have been in a battle of wills for years but suddenly they find themselves on the same side, and they realise they know little about each other. Both have been judgemental and defensive, but with Bear's help they learn more about each other, really get to know each other, and they see that maybe....just maybe they were wrong about each other! My favourite line 'I find myself in the unexpected position of not wanting to leave'
Another good book in the Cattle Cove series and a surprise too! There are a couple of typos, nothing drastic although the first is in the opening line: one instead of on and shudders instead of shutters.

Cowboy Retribution: Cowboys of Cattle Cove Book 3 is by Barb Han. This third book is really a good one. So far, it might be the best. A.J. McGannon is a loner who can be found with his Newfoundland Bear riding the fence line on a fine autumn afternoon. He could be doing a lot of other things; but he rides out this way to ride by the creek where he found Bear, abandoned and hurt. It took getting help to get the big dog, even half starved, back to the house to get him some help. Now they are inseparable. Today, Bear hears something and goes after it with AJ following. He finds Tess Clemente in the mud and scared to death. She says, “Is he gone?” and then blacks out. This is definitely not the fiery Tess he has always known. Something horrible has happened to her. Even though they have been almost enemies their entire life, AJ doesn’t hesitate to help her. Whoever did this must be found and punished.

A.J. McGannon is surprised when he and his dog, Bear, find Tess in the creek on the ranch. He's angry when he finds out she's been abducted.

When the sheriff finds a campsite on the ranch, complete with a noose, and connects the dots to a previous abduction and murder, it's clear there's a serial killer on the loose.

Who is trying to kill Tess? Why? Will Tess and A.J. solve the mystery and resolve their differences?

I picked this up and refused to put it down until I was finished. Thanks for another fabulous read, Barb.

LOVED this book! While it's not quite like the first 2 in the Cowboys of Cattle Cove series it had a serious plot twist that I didn't see coming which I'm sure will have quite the change to the series. This is A.J. McGannon, his dog Bear and Tess Clemente's story. If you've read book 2 you know Tess and A.J. have gone back and forth quite a bit over different disputes over the years, and can't stand each other but when A.J. finds Tess in trouble on his families land he has to help her and just maybe things can change for them. After reading the first 3 books in the Cowboys of Cattle Cove Series I can't wait to read book 4 Cowboy Judgment!
