The Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA) is the world's most extensive abstracting and indexing service for current literature on the history of art in Europe and the New World. It surveys the visual arts from late antiquity to the present, offering researchers access to more than two thousand periodicals published in forty-five languages, as well as books, exhibition catalogues, conference proceedings, and bibliographies. In total, BHA contains more than 175,000 bibliographic records, with more than 24,000 records added annually.The BHA CD-ROM is now released quarterly for use with any Windows-based PC, and can be networked to multiple workstations in the same institution at no additional charge. The software and index terms are available in English and French. Beginning with Volume 9 in late 2000, the BHA print edition will be published annually and available at a discount to CD-ROM subscribers. The search engine and interface for this CD-ROM are Y2K compliant.
