Hello readers today I am here with an amazing power-packed book called Indifferents By Casey Giles. This is the first book in Indifferents series as well as the very first novel by her. So starting from the cover and the title of the book it looks really creative and totally goes with the plot respectively. INDIFFERENTS contains all of the elements of a traditional Hero's Tale. It consists of 21 chapters, all the chapters are similar paced. The protagonist of the novel A pretty modest hero (Jack) is a typical youngster. He is thirteen years old and lives in the shadows, with a life as monotonous as the shattered city he inhabits. The story starts when Jack's world is turned upside down when he discovers a mysterious piece of technology which costs him a lot. His camp is attacked, and he is forced to flee, leaving his brother behind in the never-ending battle between Good and Evil. The point is if he can save his camp ? Will he be successful in keeping that precious thing from wrong hands. You have to find out by reading this novel. The book is much more than I could tell you here guys. The way the author has described and presented everything is just fantastic. In the middle of the book i enjoyed a lot reading it as there was thrill, fun and everything which kept me just turning the pages. Characterisation has been done so effectively by the author that you guys gonna love it. I loved the way the simple language been used so that a beginner should also not have any problem reading this. As a teenager i am really amazed by the work done by the author and there’s second part in the series which i am onto. So what are you waiting for guys just go and grab your copy fast! I highly recommend this book to everyone out there especially If you enjoy action-packed, fascinating, and thought-provoking adventures, this is the book for you.

Happy reading:)

I had the pleasure of buying a copy of INDIFFERENTS directly from Ms. Casey Giles at a Filipino-American Festival in Houston a couple of weeks ago. This is a teen/dystopian adventure novel, featuring some pretty strong character-world building. My only criticism would be with the plot itself toward the middle/end of the book. I feel like there are a few areas that could have gone differently, story-wise, that would've made the climax of the book more interesting, especially since the first half of the book was so captivating.

Overall, I think it's a wonderful debut book and I look forward to seeing how Casey's writing will continue to only grow from here!

“A thrilling adventure full of heart, courage, and impossible choices.”

This story had me hooked from the start! Jack may seem like an ordinary 13 year old, but his journey is anything but ordinary. I loved how his quiet, “safe” life is suddenly turned upside down when he discovers the mysterious object it felt like stepping straight into an epic adventure. The danger, the tension of leaving his brother behind, and the weight of responsibility on such young shoulders made me truly care about Jack and root for him every step of the way.

Great read

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. That being said, there were some things that seemed to be thrown in for convenience to help the main character. That is the only reason for a four star review instead of five stars.

I was surprised to find that the author was/is so young. I was also surprised (pleasantly so) that the author wasn't a teenage boy.

Action packed adventure featuring a young boy named Jack who wanted to change the chaotic and messed up world he lives in. He has a heart full of love for his family and friends. It's a breathtaking encounter between the good and the evil! The title is perfect for the story
