Interesting little book surveying quotations used in the New Testament. The author breaks down five passages—some Old Testament quotations as a sampling of all the others, and four times Paul quoted Greek writers. He gives some good insight into why NT authors quoting the OT don't quote it word-for-word and how quoting ancient Greeks relates to the reliability of Scripture. I learned quite a bit and would recommend the book if you can get your hands on a copy.
Fun fact: The author is actually my piano teacher. I had no idea he had written this until finding it at a used book sale at a tiny library...funny how these things get around.
