Resources for nursing research: An annotated bibliography. (2004). London; Thousand Oaks, Calif.: SAGE Publications.

Citation By: Kristie Hofelich Ennis

Type of Resource: Bibliography

Call Number: Z6675.N7 C53 2004

Content/Scope: This is a guide of resources for further research by students and practitioners alike; 90% of the entries in the annotated bibliography are new to the 2004 edition and cover research in the US and UK. Students completing APA research papers will be delighted to have access to these peer-reviewed sources for topics in the nursing field. Reviewer recommends for nursing students.

Accuracy/Authority/Bias: SAGE publishing has been in business since 1965 and is traditionally known for its treatment of social issues in the medical and science fields. They only publish academic and professional texts.

Arrangement & Presentation: All aspects of nursing research under 25 separate and defined areas and several appendices are presented. There is a section called "How to Use this Book" that is useful in navigating the entries.

Relation to Similar Works: There are no other annotated bibliographies in the reference collection; this will be a welcome addition that directly applies to the high school career/college track of a significant population of the students.

Accessibility/Diversity: All students, regardless of level, are trained in APA research methodologies under the writing plan at the high school. As such, they will all be in need of bibliographical references for research. This text will be in a format familiar to the nursing students particularly, and will be useful for those that do not have online access.

Cost: $76 for e-book; $110 for print copy
