Mr. Chinn's history of Chinatown is fascinating but his biographies of the people are a priceless treasure. The pictures and descriptions of people's lives from say 1860 to the late 1980s ring with authenticity at every syllable.
The actual writing down of the stories of the first person to arrive in America is legacy that descendants yet unborn will remember and thank Mr. Chinn. I know. I found a similar book about my ancestors who lived in Kentucky.
