The full title of this guide book is the revelation — not a fictional paperback but a soft-covered treatise by a PHD who translated her Tibetan teacher's lessons and published this book sorely needed NOW by the world's collective consciousness – TARA The Liberating Power of the Female Buddha: 22 Meditations to Heal Ourselves and Repair Our World. We each have our own soul work to do in our own method and timeline; whether through individual study or group session, this excellent resource illuminates how to work with Green Tara and her 21 manifestations to learn, love, trust, teach and transform for an awakened life.
I read this book while doing a painting meditation guided by Whitney Freya to paint Green Tara. This book is a gift to everyone. Please read it. I found the book to be rich with wisdom. It helped me to begin healing and offered much to stimulate writing in my journal, returning to a meditation practice, etc. Thank you Rachel Wooten!
The way Wooten infuses stories of the everyday person alongside seminal teachings of ancient wisdom traditions is a beautiful way to crystallize the utility of Tara's presence. As a practitioner in the Drikung Kagyu lineage of Vajrayana Buddhism who only really works with one emanation of Tara, I'm excited to talk to my teacher about how to authentically add her larger mandala and some of the insights in this book to my own method.
Walking away from this read feeling validated on the path. May all readers be happy, healthy, and free from suffering.
