predictable quick read

Must be for YA lol they might like it in 5th or 6th grade. Lots of descriptions of armaments, planes, boats and ships, locations and other military equipment.

I was very disappointed in this book. Words were misspelled: new for knew as in "he new what she had said". Another blooper was "the alter in the church" instead of the correct spelling, altar. Several times people were mixed up and the couple initially introduced as the son's parents were mentioned later in the book as seeing their daughter and son-in-law. Errors such as these and many more happened throughout the book to such an extent that I just stopped about halfway through. Having read The Lost Treasure of the Knights Templar, I noticed there were several bloopers but assumed they were just an anomaly. Not so, I found more mistakes in the second in this series which was very disappointing.

Poor written, spelling and grammar terrible

The plot is like a comic book, characters are not realistic, and the whole thing is like a Marvel comic but without the illustrations. Save your time and $.

A mysterious group of ‘Guardians’ are killing writers and making it look like suicide. The President asks Doc and his team to look into it.

I ‘m surprised that a secret professional team would bring along civilians no matter how good they are.

Footnote: 1) I like the explanation of where the term ‘oorah’ came from.

2) Alter vs/ Altar. Alter: to change something. Altar: a religious table for worship.

Fave scenes: the coffee pot, test driving the Thunder Child, front yard damage and taking the landing craft.

Action filled

This is great clean read with lots of action. Following requests from the President Doc and his crew combat the Guardians lead by the Keeper. After capturing at least 2 dozen Guardians and the Keeper, After a job well done dinner with the President and his wife Doc receives a new phone call to get the crew to Arizona, the a keeper escaped from jail and his plan is not finished - it's international. Great job. Thank you.

This book and his first book were offered in my membership so i thought i would try out a new author. Both books are very shallow, no depth to characters or story. Breezed through but will not read future books. I like some mystery and interesting conversation and depth to the story. These books offer neither. If you just want a feel good, life is great experience you might like these books.

Good clean adventure

Doc and his merry band grow in size. The assignments the president hands out are dangerous and well thought out. A good read as always especially if you like wholesome action without the gory details and fowl language that is usually in these thrillers.

Good story, poor proof reading

I really enjoyed the story line, the characters and their interaction. But there were so many misspellings and numerous other grammatical errors that it was hard to keep with it. I question whether it was proof read at all.

Interesting

Held my interest if you'rebut there were parts that were too simple. In few places I was concerned that they were having too much luck . Sounds as if another. Book should be coming

Lots of travel

Should get air miles on this book. I could get at least 10 thousand mile and I could not clam them. Even with the proper tools that they get to use.

Too much poor dialogue

Too much stilted conversation. However, the plot was good, and the action kept me interested enough to keep me reading.

Disappointing

Too much hokie coversation interspersed with action. I am very disappointed. Not at all like the writing in the Pendergast books.

pass on this one

Banal, poor writing. Too much repetition of trite phrases. I only finished reading it so I could leave this review.

So disappointing! I was expecting some hidden library full of lost knowledge that would change the world. Nope! Murder mystery where everything always goes right for a bunch of retired military guys.

Nothing happens. No tension

There was no tension. Any possible tension was resolved in a paragraph. They subdue all threats with minimal effort. Way too emphasis on their great lives.
