This text is designed for a precalculus course where instructors want a graphing emphasis but not necessarily a text dependent upon graphing technology. Topics are covered from a strong functions approach that constantly compares the graph of a function with its algebraic expression. The text comes with a graphing software (DOS) program that allows students to explore the graphs of functions and relations through an on-screen interface developed to resemble a typical graphing calculator. This text should be especially effective in departments where instructors have varying degrees of interest and involvement in graphing calculators.
