Stanley and his friend Little Woo go to the park where they meet up with Betty! Together the friends play with the toys that Stanley brought in his toy box. A jump rope, bouncing balls, beach buckets, and bowling pins all get played with by the group of friends. A mishap with the toy boats and wind-up submarine causes some consternation for a bit. This is followed by a little bit of mayhem with kites and a remote control plane. Finally the friends clean up the toys and head home. This cute book presents a group of toys and how they are used, but it also shows that conflict can arise when friends play together. A fun book to share with young children just learning to play with their toys and their friends.

If I had a nickel for every time a landscape orientation board book moved to portrait orientation with a double page spread, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

This book is very cute. I started doing Babies and Books at my job (story time for toddlers and babies) and thought that this would be a perfect book to read. I wanted to pick this book because of the character Betty. My grandmas name is Betty. Her and I use to do story time together in 2010 at the same library I work at now. Now that I’m older and work at a library, I get the wonderful opportunity to do story time myself. I used this book today so I can always remember how fun it was being with her when I was kid helping out with story time. I hope one day she can stop in when she isn’t busy and watch me do story time at work.

This board book, part of the Stanley series, continues to have bright colors throughout the pages. The story involves Stanley bringing his toy box to a park and sharing the items with friends, with everyone helping to clean up at the end. Various text of objects are bolded to encourage sight words. I also enjoyed that two of the sections had the page go vertical with kites in the air and a remote control airplane. I received this book from Peachtree Publishing.

This is a cute little board book about Stanley the mouse who is playing with his friends and all sorts of different toys. Very simple introductory vocabulary with the words of the toys printed in bold type. A reminder to clean up at the end plus the use of please and thank you. Gold star for excellent manners. Sturdy construction and bright engaging colors.

Like Stanley's paint box, there are a lot of characters, a lot of activities, and a lot going on, but still a colorful read.

Stanley heads to the park with Little Woo and Betty in this cute board book. STANLEY'S TOY BOX depicts a fun day at the park, playing with all sorts of fun toys, including buckets for making sand castles, boats in the pond, and flying kites. The board book tells a simple story of fun with friends and toys. The day ends when they all help to clean up their toys.
What I loved: This is a simple and fun story that is easy for young readers to follow. The three characters are shown in different scenes playing together in the park. The pictures are full of color, and there are even some silly mishaps, like how the wind-up submarine knocks over the sailboats that will make toddlers giggle. The book also demonstrates good behaviors like sharing, cleaning up, saying thank you, and apologizing when toys get out of hand (when the beach ball bowling knocks over the sand castle Little Woo is building).
This is really easy to read with clear, bold font, and the size of the board book is great for little hands. The whole series is great for children who are learning characters and will appreciate the familiar faces of Stanley and his friends.
What left me wanting more: As a very small point, a lot of the toys seem to interfere with each other, which can demonstrate what to do when there are mishaps, but it seems a bit too frequent. It's also not totally clear what happened with the remote control plane - I think it's just knocking around the kites, but I am not totally sure.
Final verdict: STANLEY'S TOY BOX is another fun installment in a cute board book series, featuring familiar characters and lots of fun at the park. With bright colors, good behaviors, and simple text, this book is great for infants and young toddlers.

Stanley's Toy Box is a bright and vibrant board book for young readers. It is about a hamster named Stanley and fun things that he and his friends do, in this installment they are on their way to the part and Stanley has brought his toy box.
This is a cute book about different toys that you can play with in the park and it is also about sharing and playing nicely together. It also has a few pages about cleaning up together at the end of play time.
The images are full spreads across the 2 pages and are very bright colors and pretty basic shapes, great for the ages the book is written for (2-6). The images reflect what the text is about, which is always appreciated too. It is a very sturdy little book and I think that parents and kids alike will have a good time with this book.
This sill be a great book to pick up as we gear up for spring and warmer, play-outside, weather and also give kids and parents some ideas of things they could bring to park playtime.
