Mediocre it’s the only word to describe it. The better parts are the beginning and the end. this book’s rhetoric strategy is not on point.
Writing should be a way of asking and searching for an answer. But author herself only gave us like 20 questions per page, and each question denies the previous one.
“I think I understand my brother at some point. Yesterday I understood him less, but this afternoon I think I understand him more. But understanding itself is possible? I think I knew the answer, but sometimes I’m not sure” this kinda style is EVERYWHERE. And it causes only confusion and impatience.
And for the content. The author is lazy. Instead of going through a real process of psychological consulting with an expert (as a way to test the system for her brother, as she mentioned), she just SENT A FACEBOOK MESSAGE for a specialist, the gave the readers like 1/3 proportion of the book a reading experience report with citations of CARL ROGERS’ work!
