In Your Bones by Idaho poet Dena Parker Duke is a collection of poetry about deep personal and collective pain. It is a book that demonstrates the triumph of shedding layers of darkness. Parker Duke leads the reader to the power of letting go. Ultimately, these are words of healing, forgiveness, and hope.
A vulnerable, solid collection of poetry with flashes of brilliance.
Owen’s Review: 4/5 milk bottles. Helped me learn it’s still okay to scream for feedings, be mad at mom and dad when they don’t immediately provide, and still love them after I’m fed.
Beautiful! Reading these words, I felt “seen”...I’m already returning to these poems over and again, finding a new depth each time. And I want to send the poem entitled “proof” to everyone I know who’s ever struggled to speak their truth.
