This one was a great little palate cleanser! Had a steady rhythm to it and I loved the way the characters came together in the end. A little heavy on the bible but was not terrible.

A syrupy sweet, overly religious Christian romance novel. I wasn't expecting anything earth shattering, and even picked it up tonite because I wanted a mindless read (and I read it in two hours)but both main characters are too good to be true and the only conflict is completely self-made. I knew this was the Christian version of a Harlequin when I picked it up, but it was not only predictable, but sickningly sweet as well.

i realize that it is fiction when the female lead can actually say that having her mom say she loved her no longer mattered since she had given her life over to God and having His opinion alone matter. don't get me wrong...God's opinion alone IS a good point...however it would have been better to have the character say thank you to the Lord for that blessing more than she simply gave her life over to God...in two months.
not the worst and not the best heartsong i have ever read.

In Pursuit of Peace is my fifth story. It's cute. I had some good ideas, but I still had a lot to learn about writing. As I tell my 6th grade students, I hope to always get better. :)
