For the children who always try to put their best foot forward. A book that encourages children to identify left and right, in a way that is fun and full of movement. Talk about different types of shoes- gumboots or dancing shoes! Promote physical activity by getting children to hop, stomp and twist with you. Support children's independence and eagerness to do things on their own, such as putting on their shoes.
Left foot Right foot, Wow what a joyful and exciting book for children. My 5 year old and 1 year old boys love their books, it helps my 5 year old learn how to read and he loves teaching his younger brother how to stomp his feet. They both have fun tickling each other’s feet and follow the movements throughout the book. My 1 year old will sit down and look at the pictures in the book. The colour of the illustrations are so inviting and he points to all the different shoes he can see in the book and my 5 years old is teaching him the names of the shoes. Overall it is a simple and fun book full of movements, that keep children moving and entertained at the same time, we read it all the time and we are so lucky to have this book teaching us news things everyday.
This book is perfect for both my children 8 and 1 my oldest helped read it to his younger sister. Encouraging her to use her feet and stomp left and right while reading along. We spoke about all the pictures in the book along with saying the names of some of the animals and the shoes. We’ve been reading it everyday
I would love to get another to use as a teacher resource for my babies as well as being able to use in the older rooms.
I love this book so much I brought a second one! My first is in my teacher resource box and the second is for my future children.
Such a simple, easy to follow book that evokes so much happiness and love. When you read the book to children they can't help but jump to their feet to join in on the actions.
I just love this book and will be reading it to My little boy (5 year old) every day encouraging him to do the actions and look at the words so he can eventually read the book all by himself. It’s such a perfect book to promote movement and reading.
Love this book as it is a fun and active way to help the little ones distinguish the difference between the left foot and right by doing fun activities. Tess has used simple but effective language in there so it is easy for kids to pick up. Highly recommend!
My little one year old is obsessed with this book, he is learning to identify his feet and practicing putting shoes on. We love this beautiful book. What a perfect read for our babies and children
