The locations range from a basketball court, snorkeling in the ocean, atop a mountain, to the city. The story illustrates appropriate footwear for various activities. "My shoes take me where I want to go from where I am today." Children are encouraged to think about who they can be.
This 30 page book is a picture book because it has colorful illustrations on each page, with few words. The teacher can teach inference and allow students to use imagination to create a similar story individually. The teacher can also pause intermittently for students to assist in reading the story.
