Welcome back to Simple Texas, where geologist, Devlin McMillian is trying to find oil on a piece of land owned by Holden Lancaster on the Diamond Ranch. Unfortunately he is does not want her to discover anything. She thought there was oil on the neighbouring ranch, but once again she was wrong. But she was sure this time and she just had to get Holden to agree to let her take a sample of his soil. He was having none of it.
Devlin was a no nonsense kind of a women. She did not think about anything else but science of soil. She worked for the family business and it’s not where she really wanted to be. She just needed handsome Holden to let her get this one this right. And another thing about Devlin is that she did not believe in herself, so two of the town’s meddling citizens decided they were going to give her a “Cinderella” makeover to seduce Holden into giving her the soil samples…. Little did Devlin know that this was going to change her life forever and that she was going to find herself.
I really loved the Holden and Devlin. He is a handsome Texas bad boy, who came back to Simple to help out the two old fellows who took him in when he needed discipline and someone to care about him after a loss that nearly broke him at sixteen. Devlin is a nonsense, plain nerd girl who does not believe in herself and but she has spunk and when she finds out that what she thought was her lack of sensuality, when Holden gives her the kiss of a lifetime, her buried bad girl comes out and give Holden a new perspective of this suddenly sexy scientist. Of course no Katie Lane story would be complete without her lovable and sometimes quirky citizens who help to guide this couple into romance and love and eventually to their happily ever after.

Taming a Texas Charmer is an absolutely charming story with a great plot; lots of laugh out loud humor, some sexy characters, a bit of steam and a hero and heroine who go together beautifully. I loved Devlin, as she was not your typical heroine. She said exactly what popped into her head was very socially awkward and had no clue about things of the heart. Our hero, Holden was a charmer who had no intention of marriage or happy ever after. His mom had shown him that marriage was not for him. Devlin and Holden come together over a piece of land with the help of quirky townspeople and some very colorful friends that will have the reader laughing at their antics. This story is book 3 of the Bad Boy Ranch series and is my absolute favorite of the set.

Devlin McMillan was a geologist and needed to get sample samples from Holden Lancasters land but he wasn't having anything to do with it, but when his mother shows up all heck breaks loose. Holden has alot of issues and pain with his past but can he trust her or will he push her away? Thos book was absolutely fantastic and emotional rollercoaster ride and I loved every things about this book.the storyline flowed from the beginning until the end and I needed tissues as well. I just absolutely fell in live with both of them. Congratulations another fantastic book and I'm excited for Vals book next.

Loved this story.Holden was definitely a Texas charmer ! Devlin fell for him knowing he never wanted to get married. She was more interested in proving to her family that she made a good decision that Holdens land had oil. But she knew Holden didnt want her digging on his land for some reason but she went behind his back anyway. When he find out he was very upset with her. He had confided in her and that was bad what she did. Find out what happened did they work it out or part ways! I enjoyed this book immensely.

I just love another return to visit the Bad Boys! Holden, our third bad boy meets his match with Devlin and boy are they ever fun together! She's one of my favourite types of heroine, she's very relatable. She's a bit clumsy, not entirely confident with her place in life but she finds herself with Holden. It makes for an enjoyable (although too short!!) a read. Can't wait for the next installment of this fun series!

Ok I have to say this is my favorite book yet from this series! Maybe it's because I can relate to Devlin with me being a geeky girl myself with no filter! Holden love for his sister is overwhelmingly sweet that I think he will hold a special place in my heart for a long time! This book is a must read! Thank you Katie Lane for writing another book that has made my day!
