I write the things I love to read: steamy, fun stories about ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, smart women and men who aren’t jerks. I like to read about friendships, either close women or a good bromance. I want all the feels: the thrill of a smoldering gaze or the barest brush of fingertips, the shocked gasp at the underhanded villain, the angst of heartbreak, the joy of reunion, and of course, happily ever after!
I enjoy a sneak peek into intriguing groups, whether that be military personnel, medicine, or another culture like Greece. It’s fun to live vicariously and go sailing, diving, or rock climbing. A bit of danger always gets me going, so many of my Romances have a thriller subplot. I also write thrillers with a slow-burn romantic subplot.
I love humor and am partial to witty banter and embarrassing situations! Love is funny sometimes!
I hate to read the same old thing, with only the names and places changed, so my goal is to bring you a fresh, fun, NEW story every time, with NO CLIFFHANGERS! More than anything, I want a rollicking, great story that I can’t put down, one where love prevails in the end, one that will whisk me away from my own tribulations.
I read this book under the title "Love is a Drug" from Amazon. A wonderful short read. Great characters, not your usual passion, bur clarifies the hard work of making the perfect match.
What a wonderful fairytale with a great comedic, dark twist ending!
Mary Sue works at an apothecary. She is hopelessly in love with her childhood friend Perry Stalsis. Perry is the good-looking boy in the village all the girls are in love with. He sees Mary Sue only as a good friend. So, , it is Mary sue’s or (Mary’s) job to change his mind. She is told the way someone's heart is through his stomach. So, Mary Sue decides to bake honeycakes for Perry. Perry loves them and eats his fill. Mary Sue thinks she’s gained Perry’s love and wants to marry her when Perry asks to talk to her in private. You will have to read this wonderful story to find out what happens. This is another well-written story by Ms. Holiday. This story is short and sweet and very satisfying like Mary Sue’s honeycakes. Ugh! Maybe not. Lol. This is the second book I've read by this author. I am a new fan. I’ve bought two books already. This short fable and Finders Keepers (Helios romance) and intend to get my hands on read more.
A short read, but a darkly amusing parody none the less! When a girl loves a boy and the boy is too stupid to notice, what's she going to do? Just let him run off with the - urgh - popular girls? She may be called Mary Sue, but you can never be sure about a girl who knows her apothecary supplies...
This sure was a fun mash up of expectations of the usual bad writing cliches and comedy with a dark streak. The world building stuff confused me (the teen jock talking/acting all modern American, but they might have been in some historical fantasy setting?), but it was a minor quibble. You know what's going to happen, but that's half the foreshadowed fun.
This was a fun, shorter romance story that I found the perfect length read for a relaxing and rejuvenating day off. The characters and plot felt fresh and unique, and I was kept guessing about how things would turn out. The writing is clever and sexy, with a refreshing dose of humor.
