Violet Nessar’s life is collapsing around her. Her father is dying of cancer and his hospital bills have become overwhelming. She dropped out of college and moved into her grandmother's house to help her family out, but, on top everything else, each time Violet falls asleep she finds herself an unwilling participant in someone else’s death. Life isn’t easy for the 24-year-old girl from Staten Island. Over the last 6 years, Violet’s dreams of death have taken a toll on her both mentally and physically. She doesn’t want to feel and see and remember what the random, dying strangers she's with go through each night, but, like her father’s sickness, it’s out of her control. Violet sees an opportunity arise when she’s tortured with a man during an illicit diamond deal. She doesn’t want to benefit from someone else’s death, but Violet knows she can leverage the information she’s gained, through the man’s horrific murder, for money to help her family out. Left without any other options, Violet finds herself trapped in a world of revenge, hate and murder and is unsure whether or not she’ll make it out alive.
