In this story, a newborn baby girl sees the world around her with her two little eyes. She was given the name Kayla by her parents. When she opened her eyes, there was light all around her. Finally, she could see eyes and teeth around her.

Her parents are happy to have a beautiful little baby girl. She was all confused since it was much to take in. So, she started crying. Read the story further. It is a very short and quick read. I enjoyed reading this story of Kayla. Illustrations are simple and the cover page of the book shows little Kayla. The plot of the story has much potential to do great.

Recommended for little ones for bedtime reading. Mother of newborns or expectants will enjoy reading this more with little kids in the house.

My Name is Kayla is a children's book written by the author Alison Woods and illustrated by Ayanda Dorsey. It is the story of a young little girl Kayla that is just born.

When a baby is born, a soft and tight cloth is wrapped around baby's body just like we see on Kayla. When Kayla opened her eyes, she could see so many white squares i.e. teeth of people around her. Read this story of a new born little girl as she explores her surroundings.

The storyline could have been much better. The title and the cover page is nice. It is a very short read that kids of age 2-5 years can read with their parents.

My Rating: 3.5/5

It is the story of a newborn who has just entered this world.

She can cry.
She can nurse.
She can pee.
She can poop.

Kayla soon starts to recognize her Mom with two eyes and white squares. After sometime, she learns her name Kayla. Her parents are glad to have her in their world. Kayla has hair on her little head.

This is a story that is inspired by real Kayla in author's life. Cover of the book looks eye catchy and will attract children's interest immediately. With total 40 pages in total, kids can finish it quickly. This story book made me nostalgic and reminded me of the time when my nephew was born. I recommend this story book to little kiddos.
