Kathryn has been writing about motherhood and parenting issues for more than 30 years. Her newly published novel, Too Many Mothers, was written in collaboration with dear friends who are also writers. This is the story of four fascinating sisters dealing with their father's impending third marriage. Kathryn's memoir, Yin, Yang, Yogini: A Woman's Quest for Balance, Strength & Inner Peace is the story of how one can change in mid-life and mid-stride, of how one can let go of fear and live in the present moment. It's about finding courage, strength and happiness within.

I got this book for $1 at the neighborhood used book store. Printed in 1989, it is a time capsule of both Patrick Demarchilier's work up to that point and of the time period of the 1980s. The last photo of the book is particularly poignant. It is a photo of Christine Brinkley, Billy Joel and their then-infant daughter, Alexa Ray, with just their feet. The simplicity is gorgeous but as someone who can recall that time when Christie was at her peak California beauty and the everyman that Billy Joel represented and their unlikely marriage then birth of their daughter, it brings back memories of that time that is fondly remembered for me.

Plus, for fashion, I loved the 1980s. The models were very beautiful and yes, on another level, but they looked healthy. The opening photos of Christy Turlington and her crazy natural beauty is a throwback that I could endorse. Seriously, everyone in the book look so vibrant.

Anyway, it is a great find. It is like looking at a photo album and every other page is "Yeah, I remember that time..."
