In the story of "At the Zoo with Dear Dragon," by Maria Conn, the story is very simple and repetitive making it a great book for a kindergartners or beginning readers. The part I really like is the teacher section of higher order thinking questions at the end of the book. The book also has an activity and author/illustrator section that gives ideas and additional information on the book topic (the zoo) as well as additional information about the author and illustrator.
