Published in 1988, 'Panavia Tornado - Spearhead of NATO' is a well illustrated technical history of the early development and deployment of this key European combat aircraft. The information supplied relies a lot on company supplied sources, so the tone is not surprisingly upbeat and skips around problems. Nevertheless, it does makes an interesting read, with a nice perspective on just what customers like the RAF thought they were getting.
