I give 4 stars for the stories that captured my heart, especially the vampire and werecat stories. Written in simple language, I think this book was good. Amusing stories based on many unknown strange creatures, something like Snowman or Himalayan Yeti. Stories about Yowie of Australia and Dogman of Germany of were my favourite from the collection. Overall, subtly horror, part adventurous, it is a collection to read any day.

Nice and very interesting book. I love vampire stories, so I read this book, but it has far interesting stories than vampire literature. Stories are about bipedal and other primates that are consciously part of our folklore and mythological history. I liked the story of Yowies, and also loved the first 4 stories from the collection. Dracula fans must try this collection.

What a riveting book on cryptids...I have read Alan Durrant and many other prominent horror genre authors, but I never got to see so many varieties in just one book. The book is about encounters with cryptids - kind of hairy creatures, bipedal, resembles humans. However, no science confirms their identity, where they are find, how they are developed, and so on. Most of these creatures exist only in myths and folklore.

This book tells us about the 18 interesting encounters that people have had with cryptids, from across the world. The book covers the Bigfoot of USA and New Zealand, Yowie of Australia, Dogman stories from various continents, Vampire tale, Werecats, and so on. I loved all the stories so much that I read the book twice.

Highly innovative in its nature, and offers something new to people who love reading horror suspense. Also, the book sheds important light on these creatures. Though most of the encounters seem real, well a few sound fictitious. But on the receivers end, both versions are fascinating.
