I have enjoyed reading this book so much. To give an overview, I am a Finance professional working here in the US. I do not have school debts because like the author, I tried to be frugal and mindful on where to place my money when I was still in school.
This book has given me the orientation on how the school works here (I was educated in Asia where school fees are much cheaper), how to apply to college/universities, how to support yourself, how to be wise with your income, how to earn a second income, etc. These tips I learned will help me to be ready when my only kid is in high school as I will try to guide her as much as I could to help her make great choices to have a debt-free graduation.
This book is simple and easy to read. I like the fact that the author did not make her tips to be too complicated that you won't be able to follow. She narrated her story during her time, and she also compared it on how it works now in current time (stories like buying a car, house, choosing a degree, etc.) I would definitely recommend this to parents who want their kids to start thinking about their future. High school kids can start reading this now and I won't be surprised if they appreciate this and start learning about finances.
Thanks Ms. Gant and looking forward to more!
