The Christmas child

Nurse Anna Clemence didn't tell her new employers at the Winton medical office about her pregnancy, or how her baby was conceived. She really needed the job.

She didn't tell handsome Dr. Ben Cole, either, but in his efforts to get close to her, he discovered all her secrets. He then set about drawing Anna into his life, assuring her that he would also love the baby she was carrying. Only, Anna convinced herself that Ben would eventually come to resent bringing up a child that was biologically neither his nor hers…

s. 189 Energicky zdvihla ruku v odmítavém gestu
Ano? ...se dvěma narvanými igelitkami ? (s. 188)

s. 168 Při stěhování si vzala jenom to nejnutnější .

s. 185 ocenili [ocenily]
s. 262 Valerie s Annou vešli
s. 303 ležela už Anna dávno v teple porodnici

čárka - s. 231
ji/jí - s. 266

overall i liked this storyline, the characters, its heartwarming with a very teeny tiny bit of spice...its written in the third person female heroine POV, but there are enough conversations which shares his perspective, there is bit of drama when they both are struggling with their own thoughts and feelings and 'what ifs' but its a sweet story overall; also, seems this book was first published awhile back when the storyline itself (the book blurb obviously hints at what this is already) may have been a big deal then but may be not now (this a common trope now, i believe)...i would read any of the M&B Medical books!
