My Name Is Bacci Bogie: Frequent Flyer Extraordinaire

Rate this book
""My Name Is Bacci Bogie Frequent Flyer Extraordinaire""...was written with love and tears about a 4-pound adorable Maltese. His human-like antics drew people to him wherever he went. People stood in line for his autograph as he performed charming tricks. Bacci traveled over 500,000 air miles as my 'jet pet' experiencing life in a very unique way. His hometown was Aspen, Colorado where he co-hosted my local television show for many years. I wrote his memoirs from his point of view and in his voice. Please visit our website at www.baccibogie.com and fall in love with Bacci's photos and videos. Most of all, the book is an entertaining testament to the multi-faceted richness that pets can bring to human families.

Bacci Bogie is an adorable dog and one with plenty of personality. His owner, Sandra, works full-time as a motivational speaker. Bacci decides he’s destined to fly so he convinces his human owner to take him with her. Clocking in more than 500,000 frequent flyer miles, Bacci and Sandra are in for the adventure of their lives. Strangers flock to Bacci as he brings happiness to everyone he meets but most of all to Sandra, his beloved owner. This is more than a story of a dog. . . it’s a tale of unconditional love and enjoying all that life has planned for you, even the turbulence.

I’m not a dog person but I found myself growing attached to Bacci while reading this book. Told from a dog’s POV, I reveled in seeing life through his eyes. His perspective on life, love and adventure, was refreshing and very inspirational. It is a fast read but one with huge doses of touching moments. His viewpoint on 9/11 made me cry. Pets owners will love this tale and is suitable for the whole family.

If you’re a fan of Marley & Me, you’ll fall in love with My Name is Bacci Bogie: Frequent Flyer Extraordinaire. Highly recommend, especially for dog lovers.

I am a huge dog lover so this book immediately caught my attention. This cute story is told from the perspective of the author's dog. He had an adventurous life as he flew around the country with his human.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

When I requested this book, I did so just because of the title and the photo. I am a huge dog lover and I wanted to read about his adventures. What I didn't know is that it was going to be written in his point of view. Okay, interesting twist. I'll play :) It didn't take long before I was into the story of his life-starting as a puppy getting picked out by his new Mommy and how he grew into such a popular pup. I might have liked it a little more because it mostly has to do with Colorado(where I'm from) and the Fort Lauderdale area, where I lived for two years. I loved reading about his adventures and the people he got to meet along the way. What I loved best is that she was able to portray what I assume is his real personality so well. When he got sick down the road, I could almost feel his shame for what he looked like as he lost his hair. That part almost made me cry because my pup a few years ago lost her hair too and I could see she didn't feel so good about herself either. When you look into his eyes after you have read this book, you can 100% see that his personality might be just as she depicted it. This was a very cute, but very fast, read.

This tale relates the life and adventures of Bacci Bogie, a Maltese pup who spent most of his life traveling the world with his owner. Bacci’s human earns her living as a motivational speaker and providing training for various police departments. The book is divided into three parts: the early, middle and late years of Bacci’s life.
Readers experience the excitement as Bacci relates adventures in California, Florida, Colorado, and Washington, to name a few residences. The pup amassed more than 500, 000 air travel miles. Bacci introduces readers to the other pets he encounters during his travels and the humorous antics he employs to gain attention. There are romps in the snow and walks on the beach. Bacci reveals his fear and sadness on 9/ 11 and during times of family crisis.
Readers feel the love that his mistress shared with him. Pet owners will truly relate to the highs and lows of family pet experiences. While this book is intended for adults, children can enjoy the book as well.

This is a cute book about and by a dog, Bacci Bogie, who travels the world over with his “person” who is a motivational speaker. Throughout his journeys, Bacci meets many people, who fall in love with this cute, little bundle of joy. It is an interesting book, told from the perspective of Bacci and is very autobiographical. Being a dog lover, I immediately fel in love with this adorable little one. I found it interesting to see the world “through his perspective”, so to speak. Just about everyone falls in love with Bacci because he is so exuberant. His “person:, Sandra definitely falls for Bacci. This book can provide a quick interlude of happiness in toady’s turbulent world. I recommend it to all dog lovers and to anyone looking for a good escape. I received this form NetGalley to read and review.

My Name is Bacci Bogie Frequent Flyer Extraordinaire by Sandra Glosser

A cute little book for a “tween” who adores dogs, Bacci Bogie was taken everywhere by his “mommy,” accruing a considerable number of air miles. Whether permitted or not, this easy to hide and very loved Maltese went everywhere.

I felt, at times, that “mommy” was using this story to be a name dropper for the people she knew and places she stayed, but keeping in mind her reading audience, it wasn’t a total turn off. Kids might be impressed by all the places and people Bacci Bogie got to visit.

This is an easy read for a young book lover with only a few challenging words to discern. Pictures of Bacci are beyond adorable. Surprise the young dog lover in your life with this original story. Four stars from me for Bacci Bogie.

This is a lovely tale detailing the life of a special little dog. We are taken on a journey from his beginnings as a young pup until his last days. The relationship between Bacci Bogie and his owner is portrayed beautifully and it is clear how much they meant to each other. The adventures, which are told through the perspective of Bacci Bogie, are often humorous and his sprightly personality shines through. The brilliant illustrations are a lovely accompaniment to the story. Whilst this is easy to read and suitable for children, anyone who loves dogs would thoroughly enjoy this tale too. A box of tissues may be necessary when reading the last chapter, however!

A fun little tale, from the perspective of the dog, and his adventures with his 'Mom' who brought him with her everywhere, including the "friendly Skies"! It's the story of (Wo)man's best friend. It's a quick, cute read...
