After being bitten by a genetically altered spider, Peter Parker explores his new powers, eventually transforming himself into a superhuman crimefighter.
Not only does this "novelization" have annoyingly short chapters and read like a Cliff's Notes summary, but it doesn't even tell the entire story!
If you're looking for a good prose adaptation of the wall-crawler's first flick, seek out Peter David's version; it's amazing.
(I give it two stars because, as a longtime Spidey fan, I can't give it the lowest possible rating. Plus, the photography was great, even if nothing else about this book was.)
