Nestled in the hills of the Lake Michigan shoreline, the ranch overlooks open fields and rich oak, maple and beech tree groves. It has been owned by the Katzen family for generations. Emily’s love for peace and tranquility has propagated a bit of comradery with a circle of friends. The trio has found a way to communicate with each other through long walks into town. How will this friendship become a turning point in each other’s personal goals for recuperation?
A Time To Scatter and A Time To Gather is the seventh book in the Living River Ranch contemporary Christian romance series. All books written in this series follow Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 “A Time for Everything” If you like a cleanly written romance series with fully developed characters that move through a series of books, you will love the A Time For Everything Series.
I’ve read every book in A Time For Everything series and I loved Ben and Emily’s story. Ben brings Troy to the Living Ranch after he is badly beaten and has given up. Ben is Amy’s brother and he’s hoping to mend their relationship. The first person to welcome them is Emily and she has her own story. I love how every installment brings help to a different person, but we still get to read about the previous characters we’ve met. I highly recommend this series and I’m looking forward to reading the future installments. If you enjoy reading about a small town that focuses on friends and family, then you won’t be disappointed with these fast reads. Grab your copy and get ready to fall in love with Little Bend, Michigan and the residents and employees at Living River Ranch.

This story has Ben going to Living River Ranch where he hopes to make amends with his sister, Amy. He is now drug free but he brings Tony who was severely injured in a beating. Emily is the first person to greet him on his arrival and they seem to be kindred spirits. These stories have a heartwarming feeling even though they are about tough subjects. I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.
We get to hear Ben's story! That he came to Little Bend is so exciting, after learning about him in the last book. I enjoyed Emily's progress, as well. It's been fun to watch it since she arrived at the ranch in book 4. I love reading about how far someone can come after being broken. Miracles happen everyday, you just have to stop and look around! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
People make bad decisions and blame others until they hit rock bottom then they turn back to God when they reach the lowest point in their lives. In this book, Ben did not blame Amy. I liked how he took responsibility for his bad decisions and came home to get redemption. This is the seventh book of the series. I urge you to read the whole series written by Everlee Whitman.
It was good to see Ben come back home and for us to get introduced to a few new and returning characters. There is a lot of wisdom packed into these short books.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
A Time To Scatter and A Time To Gather is a very moving story about love and hope. Love can move mountains. A verry special place the living river ranch, a place of hope and healing for the broken.I received the book for free for an honest review
I just love how Everlee keeps the Living River Ranch flowing from book to book. Some one new arrives and love is in the air. Still a lot of healing needs to go on, but it sounds like things on the ranch are falling into place. Each book of the series gets better and better. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
This is a great story about Ben and Emily's relationship. I am enjoying the stories in this series. It is nice to read a clean romance story. I received an ARC for an objective review.
As any good tale must do, we catch up on the lives of some of the supporting staff on the Living River Ranch. Amy is still dating Ray. He has transferred to Little Bend.
Ben Braize, Amy’s brother, brings his mentor to the ranch for some help. Troy is one of the good guys. He worked for organizations providing food for the homeless and established a soup kitchen. A gang beats Troy. After Troy leaves the hospital, Ben brings Troy to the ranch for the mental health problems that result from the trama.
New people want to join the ranch crew, Katherine Grazinski and Annalise Heath are both interested in joining Stormi in the ranch’s animal science program.
Can the traumatized, hurt souls bond together to form a support group? Will even more of the young single people pair off as they find common values and life experiences? Who will pair with who and why? Guess who might have an unknown sister?
You need to grab the book to find the answers to these and other questions. I am planning a binge read of this series.
