Gecko needs a home, and Keala is determined to find him one! The nene, the dophins, the butterflies, and all of her Hawaiian animal friends are on hand to help as Keala starts her hunt. About the author

Patricia McLean divides her time between rainy Vancouver and sunny Maui. While in Hawai'i she can be found under the nearest palm tree with her laptop, snorkeling in Kapalua Bay, or baking coconut muffins in her kitchen.
Patricia is a graduate of the M.F.A. program in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. She devotes part of her week to teaching English and Language Arts to primary students and part to her own writing.
Patricia enjoys writing for both adults and tots, and spend many years creating poetry with her daughter, Erin.
