A great story of two people reconnecting after he fired her from his New York Restaurant. He became partners with a restaurant in Savanna, GA only to learn the pastry chief he had fired was the one working in Savanna. They find a personal connection when locked in the pantry. She oversteps in his personal life with his Dad but then they reconnect when his Dad is shot on the job as a police officer.
A great read. Would recommend this story to anyone who like romance, family, & happy endings.
I liked the storyline and the ending. There were a few twists and moments of wondering how it would all pan out but overall it was a good book. I hope the next book sheds a bit more light on their future.
2.75 rounded up. Felt incomplete, more like HFN than HEA. The main characters didn't get to know each other very well, and Liam's issues were unresolved.
