Commando: The Complete World War II Action Collection Series, Volume I

Rate this book
Sharpen your bayonets and brew up a hot cup of tea! Jack Badelaire's British Commando stories are military action-adventure novels written in the spirit of classic war movies and wartime pulp adventure fiction. This omnibus edition contains the first three books in the series:

Operation Arrowhead: A hand-picked squad of British Commandos is sent into occupied France to ally with the Resistance. But when the mission goes awry from the very beginning, and the motives of the Resistance leader become suspect, the Commandos begin to wonder if they are allies to the French, or merely bait to draw out the German garrison.

Operation Bedlam: The Commandos sneak into the occupied city of Calais in order to rescue a Resistance leader. But when an accident forces the team to leave men behind, will the Commandos follow orders and escape France? Or will they cut their way into the heart of Calais once more, determined to rescue their brothers-in-arms no matter the cost?

Operation Cannibal: The action moves to North Africa, as the Commandos team up with the Long Range Desert Group in order to hunt down an elite unit of German desert raiders. But when the Commandos discover a nest of Egyptian spies with ties to German Intelligence, has their mission been compromised before it even begins?

Truly Realistic, a winner!!

As read the stories, I could picture the characters in a movie. The action is realistic and believable, and locations and characters accurate. I am ready to start the next book and look forward to it! I highly recommend Commando, Jack has done an excellent job with all of the stories in that he doesn't make things too easy for the lads, just as it is in the field.

Action from cover to cover

The author does a great job of keeping the reader involved all the way through. No dull spots here! And, thank you, VERY few typos, much appreciated by this reader!
