A uniquely written book taking the reader on a journey through the eyes of the unknown. Using the perspectives of the three main characters in various chapters of the book, the story uses beautiful language and delightful detail to develop the story line and ignite emotion within the story as well as within the reader. Pay attention as at times the change in point of view can be difficult to follow, but it pays off in the end by showing the value in personal beliefs, experiences, and relationships.
All That We Encounter is an insightful, fictional novel seemingly combining spirituality and mysticism into life experiences. Certain to make the reader self reflect on their own life and hold dear to what's important and meaningful. Thought-provoking, challenging, and intense!

This book is an emotional ride full of twists and turns! From the first chapter, Grey connects you instantly to lovable, well-rounded characters and sets the tone for an exciting adventure. The book had me laughing and weeping at different points, while also challenging me to think about life in ways that continue to resonate long after I’d finished reading. Grey has an incredible command of language and a way to pen thoughts that many of us have, but can simply cannot articulate. This book is truly beautiful. I highly recommend it.

This book was such a delight to read. Reliving many of the life choices that the main character Olivia made throughout her 88 years made me evaluate and consider many of my own decisions. The detailed description of the setting in a little town in my home state of Michigan captured just how life was back then, reminiscing on stories of my own grandparents. Grey writes in such a thought provoking tone that leaves the reader contemplating many deep questions about life itself. She is sure to engage many readers looking for their next page turner.

"All That We Encounter" transports the reader across time and space for an immersive, emotional journey. Grey beautifully captures the sensory details of the character's memories to fully immerse the reader. This was a page turner for me as the story unfolds from three characters' perspectives and the plot weaves throughout different time periods. At times an emotional read that inspired me to reflect on my own life and relationships. Highly recommend!

From the start you feel invested and involved in a well webbed story spanning generations and the ethereal fabric that connects the past, present and future. An outstanding debut novel, All That We Encounter is a hero's journey of self-discovery that deftly incorporates metaphysical aspects. The structure (chapters alternate narrators and timeframes) is a little challenging; also, the narration sometimes blends from first-person into third. Still, the approach allows Grey to weave the character arcs to a satisfying conclusion.

This novel was so easy to get lost in & I enjoyed feeling immersed in the plot. The story takes you along on some of life's heartaches and lessons but includes mystical undertones that are intriguing to say the least. This debut novel by Grey was a joy to read and I look forward to what she writes next.
