Dimensions of Harlan Ellison

Rate this book
For years, Harlan Ellison refused to allow his early amateur work to be collected with very few exceptions (THE ESSENTIAL ELLISON and ROUGH BEASTS among them), but the Harlan Ellison Books Preservation Project finally provided a suitable venue, and HE relented, authorizing this collection of early fiction and non-fiction (and even a column!) culled from fanzines published between 1952 and 1955.

An interesting collection of Ellison writings from his pre-professional days. One or two stories show flashes of the writer he would become, and many of them deal with the culture of fandom in the early 1950s. A time capsule, in the best sense of the idea.
